Maddie journeyed across a large, hilly field. A red and yellow
egg in her arms, and a chicken-like Pokemon trotting at her
heels.

Jamie was training her Pokemon, not even glancing at Maddie as
she walked by.

Marissa held on to her little brother's hand. She was fourteen,
while he was merely nine. When she turned ten, he was five, she
got her first Pokémon. Cyndaquil. Though, instead of training it
up, she caught another Pokémon, Delcatty, and stored the fire
type away, promising that he would be used one day. And here he
was, with Max, her little brother. Marissa knew that the family
wouldn't afford getting two starters, so she decided to catch a
Pokémon and make that her starter instead. Granted, it was
difficult, but it worked.
The two walked over the field, each having a Pokémon by there
side. Delcatty walked close to Marissa, scanning anything and
everything. All the while Cyndaquil walked beside Max, enjoying
the company of the under-aged trainer. Why he was doing this
with still a year shy of being ten? I don't know. Just ignore
it.

Maddie looked at Jamie, amazed at the sight of a Lucario and
Zoroark. "Woah! Those Pokemon are so cool. I wanna Zorua! I have
a Riolu, maybe it'll evolve into Lucario someday!" She chattered
excitedly.

She glanced over, her focus disturbed, to see someone else. "Oh,
sorry! I get a little into it when I'm training," she
apologized, then added as a reply, with a small smile, "I'm
hoping to get an Absol or Arceus one day, but I'm not sure if
that'll happen..."

She drifted off for a second, then blinked back into reality.

Marissa spotted the two other trainers. She wanted to avoid
them, but Max wanted otherwise. He started towards them and,
since his older sister was in charge of him, she followed.
"Hello!" Max piped up, grinning.
