She just stared at him for a long moment, thinking of lies. Then
she finally let out a sigh, and shook her her head, tears
starting to fall out of her eyes. "Everything is just wrong."
She whimpered.

Teddypaw blinked, sadness clearly showing in his deep brown
eyes. What happened to his cheerful Mazedpaw? He was almost too
scared to hear what she wanted to spill out, but, more than
anything, he wanted to be there for her. He stopped walking and
sat down close beside her with his concerned brown eyes locked
with her teary ones. "I'm here for you, Mazey," he murmured,
touching his muzzle to her cheek.

Teddypaw felt like his heart just stopped. No, it couldn't be.
Not his Mazey. And an expert, for StarClan's sake! He should
know so much better than that! Confusion, anger, and sadness
clouded his young brown orbs as he stared into her hurting
expression. He opened his mouth to say something comforting, but
nothing came out. Even if something did come out, it wouldn't be
anything, because he didn't know what to say. He was thinking
some pretty ticked off and revengeful thoughts right now, but
what was he, an apprentice, going to do about it?
Well, all he could do now was be here for Mazedpaw, whether it
meant speaking or not. He offered her a hug, but waited for her
to accept it so he wouldn't upset or scare her even more than
she already was.

Teddypaw left his limbs wrapped around her in a hug while she
cried on his shoulder. Gently, he rested his chin on her
quivering head. He couldn't help but wonder if there were any
kits coming out of this. Sigh...she was so young.
