She started walking toward the icy river, slowing her pace to
match Shocky's. She had a habit of dashing ahead.

She smiled cheesily, and soon they arrived at the river. The ice
here was thin, but it could support a couple of cats. Rory
looked around for a spot where the ice had melted away for them
to fish from.

He didn't see any holes, but he saw a thin sheet of ice, and
could see the water moving below it. "Rory, could you help me
crack the ice a bit over here?"

He thought for a moment then grabbed a rock in his mouth, then
when near the sheet of ice, threw it downwards.
