Keegan smirked at her daring proposal. Risky, but at the same
time, he wanted to do it so badly "I like your thinking," he
purred, then took a moment to think it over. "RainClan is one of
the largest and most active Clans, but it's been peaceful for a
while now, they probably won't be expecting it at all," he
figured, flicking his tail. "Perhaps we could try to sneak in
somehow. Or send in a couple spies. What you do you think?"

She hesitated, trying to think it over, before finally saying,
"I say the second option. We send in spies, then when there
aren't many of them there, they would tell us and we sneak in."

Keegan grinned and nodded. "The only problem I can see is that
our cats are easily recognizable. We're so small, everyone
probably knows who we are. We would need a couple new faces to
do the trick," he explained, flicking his tail.

She nodded in agreement, pausing. "Do you have any suggestions?"
Alex asked, the tom, looking up and meeting his eyes for a
moment.

"Well," the chief sighed, "not really. Unless we send out a
couple thugs to find recruits, I don't think anyone is going to
want to join anytime soon. We're not exactly as 'interesting' as
we used to be."

She sighed. The she-cat had no idea what else they could do.
Time to change the subject. But to what? She wouldn't say she'd
been looking for him. Bad idea, very bad idea. Alex then thought
about asking him about their relationship. Nope, even worse.
"Want to take a walk?" she finally settled on.

Keegan looked up at Alex and nodded, a little relieved. "Yeah,
sure," he answered, stretching his front legs before standing up
completely and heading towards the camp entrance and exit.

She got to her paw, following him. Alex didn't know anywhere
they could go, so she decided to let him choose.

Keegan didn't really think of going anywhere. He just walked,
ears pricking to the chirping and calling of the jungle
creatures hidden around them. He was sort of distracted and
nervous, but he hoped it wouldn't show at all. The brown tom
tried to think of another topic. Normally it wasn't that hard.
He just said whatever he wanted to and he didn't give a crap.
Now he felt as if he really needed to think about it, and he
hated it.
Suddenly he pounced to the side, landing his paws on a mouse and
instinctively snapping his jaws on its neck. Like I said,
distracted. Keegan stared at the mouse, then glanced over at
her. "I, uh, got hungry. I'll save it for later though," the
dark tabby answered quickly and buried the catch.

She just walked beside him, feeling awkward. Was this always
what it was like, in this situation? Alex hoped not. The guard
glanced at him and he jumped to the side and when he came back,
laughed softly. "Alright, Keegan," she mewed, eyes bright.
Hopefully he thought of something to say. She sure couldn't.
