jasper laid under the shade of his favorite tree, staring into
the forest. every so often, his vision would slip from reality
to schizophrenia back to reality. and honestly, it was driving
him crazy. he would see emde, and the forest on fire, giving him
fear. but it would fade away. dang. with a sigh, he closed his
eyes in frustration.

Night wandering the forest, looking around and letting her mind
wander. She didn't have much to do anymore. Her Clan was
peaceful, and free of sickness. And, with all honesty, she
wanted more excitement in her life. All it consisted of was
waking up, eating, then laying in her den until the moon rose.
Sure, she had conversations here and there, and things like
Saturnpaw jumping out of a tree happened. But did it really make
her life different?
A scent reached the she-cat's nose, and a purr was released from
her mouth. The once shy female trotted towards the scent, head
raised happily. She could have a great conversation with her
mate! Maybe something then could make her life more...
interesting. She approached the tom, keeping silent, then
checked over her appearance. Finally, when she approved of
herself, she slid in next to the tom, sitting by his side.
"Enjoying yourself?" she asked, keeping her voice quiet in hopes
not to scare him.

he opened his golden optics lazily, a smile forming on his maw
at the sight of her. "yup." he responded casually, stretching.
it was a nice day, a peaceful day. his schizophrenia made night
momentarily a zombie, but it soon faded. dumb hallucinations.
"what's up? you look like a million bucks. if you know what that
expression means, of course."

Night thought of the expression. A million was a number, much
bigger than a thousand. Bucks... weren't those male deer? A lot
of male deer? A giggle left her maw as she shook her head. "I'm
afraid I don't understand. Unless 'a lot of male deer' is what
you mean, of course." she looked at him pleadingly, hoping its
not true.

babymaking stage[/s]. he was flirting with her, yes. so what?
they were mates, after all!

Night slowly lowered herself beside him, laying down and turning
her face away, in hopes to hide her blush. "Yeah right. If
anything, I look like a bunch of ticks." The leader motioned to
the many black spots that covered her pelt, looking back over at
the tom.

he chuckled. "hush. you're beautiful." more beautiful then
pheonixfeather, even. that's right, back when he was in
rainclan, he had had a crush on pheonixfeather, then called
pheonixpaw. but now? he considered her merely a friend. his
heart belonged to night. he leaned over and gave her cheek an
affectionate lick.

Night giggled, pressing against his side. She liked when he
complimented her, and gave her little kitty-kisses. Though, it
would only take her a few moments to realize how horrible she
really was, not returning the compliment or giving a kitty-kiss.
Oh, but not today. The femme felt like she needed to let him
know she really loved him. The black and silver cat nuzzled her
nose into his neck and gave it a lick, purring.

honestly, he would never think she was horrible. just because
she did not return every compliment or shower him with love
24/7, he knew she loved him. though, if he was being honest to
himself, it was nice to have some alone time with her. "my, my,
you're extra lovey today." he purred, tilting his head to one
side.
