She had gotten permission already from the leader and head
medicine cat to get an apprentice. Someone to teach and lead on.
Some one to pass on the knowledge. Phoenixfeather just hoped
that her choice wouldn't be a lost cause.

Petrichor and Stygianpaw walked over. Hallowskit tried to stay
away from the others as he joined the group.

Phoenixfeather spotted her son and sighed. She hadn't been with
her children lately, and it hurt her everyday. They had no
father, and it would be like they had no mother either, if she
continued doing what she did. She wiggled her nose - she'd
decide what to do about them later.
"So, I have spoken to a few cats and decided - it is time for me
to train an apprentice. Some of you may be thinking, aren't I a
bit to young? Well, yes, but its better to be safe than sorry."
she giggled. "I thought long and hard about who the apprentice
should be, and decided. Mazedpaw?" she called into the forming
crowd.

Fallingstar watched from her den entrance, smiling approvingly.
Teddypaw glanced over at Mazedpaw to see her reaction, purring
and flexing his soft paws excitedly. He was super happy for her,
and he'd be sure to go congratulate and (attempt to) hug her
afterwards. Well, assuming she was going to be promoted.
Hopefully he wasn't getting excited over nothing.
Strangledfox, Bluepaw, Cometkit, Vilasini, and Seapaw attended
the meeting.

Mazedpaw stepped forward, dipping her head. "I accept." She
meowed, looking back and winking at Acidkit. She touched noses
happily with her kind-sister and walked to Teddypaw, grinning
happily.
Acidkit threw on a happy grin for Mazey and winked back.

Phoenixfeather blinked. To be over dramatic, she felt a part of
herself die. She expected to actually be let to explain herself
for her choice. For the apprentice, which she loved like a
daughter or sister, to smile and run to her, and hug her, and
thank her. But... 'I accept'? Should she herself accept that
response? The ginger femme sighed and frowned a bit. She didn't
know how to respond. She looked over at Fallingstar then to
Streamflow for answers. Should she just go along with it? Or
should she gently adjust the new apprentice and continue with
the ceremony? or could someone else just correct her actions?

Mazey looked back and sighed too, seeing her frown, and sat down
infront of her, a bit back so she can be in the front of the
crowd. "Sorry for my manners.." She meowed quietly. "If you want
you can continue the ceremonies."

Phoenixfeather looked back to the apprentice and shook her head
furiously. "Oh, no! Its okay! Go talk to your friends." she
stood up, sighing mentally. It really seemed like her choice of
apprentice was going to be hard, especially with these bursts of
mood swings from the both of them. One moment the apprentice is
ready to brag and the mentor is about to either flip the
apprentice off or cry. The next the apprentice is apologizing
for everything she did and the mentor is insisting the
apprentice to go ahead. Without a second thought, Pheo turned
tail and entered her den. [b]"Just come in when you're done
talking to your friends!"

She looked around. Friends? The only friends she had was Pheo,
Stream, Acidkit, and... none other. Wait a minute! Teddy! She
nodded and trotted over to Teddypaw.
