"Battle?" Marissa scrunched up her nose. She hadn't had many
battles with other trainers, and was sort of afraid to do so.
"Maybe later? I mean, other than Delcatty, my pokemon need to
heal. Plus we're all tired." She lied, grinning. "Maybe I can
tag along with you to the next town?"

"Sure! Hey, if were not gonna battle, ya' just wanna meet my
other Pokémon? It's just two more..." She gave a nervous grin.

Marissa nodded. "Sure! I would love to!" Delcatty hopped onto
the log and laid down, still holding onto the berry.

"Cool!" She took two Pokeballs out of her bag. "Combusken! Aron!
Get out here!" She tossed them into the air, and two blasts of
white energy took the form of a rooster-like Pokémon, and a
little metal, dinosaur Pokémon.
"Combusken!" Combusken greeted the two trainers.
"Aron." Aron said plainly, but the look in his eyes said that he
was happy to see his trainer, and ye curious about the new
trainer.

"Oh, cool! You have a starter." Marissa smiled, praising the
other. "I never really had a starter, only Delcatty." she
shrugged and continued. "Anyways, I'm kind of glad we didn't
battle, because you would've definately had some type of upper
hand."

"Heheh, that's alright. They'll probably get enough experience
at the gym anyway. I'm really not sure I'll win, I'm thinking
about evolving Aron into Lairon first, I know he's on the brink
of evolving."
"Aron?" Aron glanced over to Maddie when he heard his name.

"Maybe fighting one of my pokemon will evolve him?" she
suggested, searching through her other full pokeballs. Delcatty
watched curiously, smiling at the fact that she wasn't going to
battle. She'd rather love something than give it a beating.

and, of course, young sam was watching, sitting on a log and
crunching an apple. "yo." she called out, her flaaffy sitting
beside her. she was your typical stealthy, skater girl. at
least, at first. "who're you guys?"

Layla ran over as a brown dinosaur Pokemon stopped inside the
group. She stopped when she neared and caught her breath, then
said, "C'mon Tyrunt, stop making me chase you." He finally
walked over to her and stood me her side.
