"Hey, did you guys-- Woooooah!" A clumsy male voice said as a
red yellow Magby took a small tumble down a hill, followed by a
laughing blue dog-like Riolu. "Hahaha! A-are you alright, Mag?"
Riolu asked in between his laughing.

"Parttyyy! Wendy!" Mistpaw squeaked.
"Look, we won't hurt you!" Zorua snapped. "We have no reason to!
Plus, we have to be in a real battle to do any type of damage!"

himself off.
"Misty, they said they wouldn't hurt'cha." Wendy said
reassuringly.

Mistpaw frowned up at the loner and sighed. She closed her
mouth, staying quiet and letting the adults handle this.

"This 'species' is called Pokemon. And there are many, many,
MANY more than just the few you see here. In fact, the few you
see here are nothing compared to the rest." Shayman explained.
"Here, let me explain a bit further. Unlike me or Lugia, these
other pokemon in front of you can become other pokemon by
battling one another with moves and gaining knowledge and
experience. Vulpix, here, can become a pokemon named Ninetails,
once she has gained enough experience and knowledge. Zorua will
be a Zoroark and Hoppip can be a Skipbloom, then even a
Jumppuff." she motioned to each pokemon.
"While gaining knowledge, pokemon can learn new moves. Moves
like Tackle, Water Gun, Fire Spin do damage to the other. But
Swords Dance, Growl, and Growth can either lower stats on your
opponent or make your own stats higher." Shayman paused, trying
to think of other possible questions these cats could ask. "What
else... Oh, most pokemon are with a trainer. Mainly humans. The
trainers help the domestic pokemon, like myself, make decisions
while in battle, and heal us when we're hurt. But other pokemon
without trainers, like Eevee, Hoppip, and the others train by
themselves in hopes to one day get in the big leagues."

"Very well explained, Shaymin." Lugia said with a smile.
"Pokémon like me and Shaymin are called Legendary, it means that
we are a special kind of Pokémon that don't evolve. There are
more Legendaries than us. There are Pokémon like Jirachi and Mew
that are of legend. Legendary Pokémon have very interesting
histories, and play a just a big a part as regular Pokémon in
our world."

The smaller legendary smiled at the larger one, beaming at the
praise. "There is much more about the pokemon world than just
the little bits of information you were given. But, I don't
think telling you every last thing would be best, especially in
your position of shock." Shaymin smiled gently towards the cats.
Mistpaw drank everything in, then looked up at Lugia. "So... all
that being said, can anything be a... trainer?"
