"No, don't leave!" she mewed emphatically, trying to listen to
Pet's advice. “We can be friends.” Then she thought
telepathically back to her friend, Was that good? I'm not a
parent. I wouldn't know.

Petrichor smiled slightly. That was fine, Pet answered. Keep it
up.

Pokerface stepped out of her den curiously to see the
creepy-looking kitten. "Woah....." A chill was sent down her
spine at the sight of her. "Who is that?"

She observed the two toms, tail flicking. She felt like she
could trust them, yet she felt she couldn't. Why should she
trust a tom? Why shouldn't she? The kitten just gave a short nod
and turned to pay attention to Streamflow. [b]"Are you sure,
Miss? I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable."

Mazey trotted over and freezed, looking at the kitten. For a
moment she felt like a spirit was shooting into her soul, and
the second after she let out a little coo. That kitten was so
darn CUTE! She walked over slowly and looked down at the kitten,
smiling warmly, not trying to make her uncomfortable, even
though she was a bit bigger than her. She crouched down and
looked at the kitten for a second, then let out a purr. "Hi
there little one." She meowed, trying not to squeal like a
fangirl. "Whats your name? Im Mazedpaw, the medicine cat
apprentice. If you feel comfortable around me you can call me
Mazey." She said.

The ghost watched the cat walk towards her. Not once in her
death had someone done that willingly. She watched, eyes wide,
and more afraid than anything. She had to remind herself that
this cat couldn't hurt her physically, nor could she inflict any
damage on the cat. She shivered a bit when Mazedpaw spoke - she
couldn't help it. This was an entire new concept to her, and it
was scary. In life, she would be excited for someone to approach
her. But, she was dead. Dead as a door nail. So why the heck
would someone greet her so nicely and approach her so quickly?
Sally wasn't saying she didn't like it. It just wasn't normal to
her. She was used to the running away in fear and the whispers.
Sure, the rest of the cats weren't doing that, and even that
scared her a bit.
Sally turned her attention back to Mazedpaw. She squeaked and
fell backwards, not realizing how close the medicine cat
apprentice had gotten. Her solid like figure wavered again, but
this time, disappeared, leaving her the transparent ghost she
had started out being. The kitten, afterwards, turned towards
the three cats who had been talking to her, and rushed to them.
She didn't mean any thing mean to the apprentice. It was just...
she wasn't used to the kindness she was being given. And that
made her afraid.

Mazey at once stood back up, a hurt look on her face. Has she
really frightened the kitten? Was she that scary? She took a
step back, at once starting to feel neglected. Her mentor
scolding her when she through out an idea to name the kittens,
Teddypaw not having talking to her for a while, and now a little
kitten being scared of her? Its not that she acually was
neglected, its that her life was getting harder, and she was
growing up, and she couldnt help but feeling sorry for herself.
Gee... being a medicine cat apprentice is lots of work.
