tell me, how am i supposed to breathe with no air? ( open )

Phoenixfeather was... well, confused. In many ways. She was
still young, and a mother to two kits. She was also a medicine
cat and a widow. And most of all, the cat that she longed to
love was never around. The red tabby looked around and saw
couples everywhere. Bumblebee and Summerswing, Deliriadreams and
Strangledfox. Heck, even Streamflow and Roanoke were getting
close! This just made her confused and alone, almost losing the
will to smile, and even live.
The she-cat layed out in the sun, eyes closed as she thought and
thought on her life.

Owlfeather, despite not spending as much time with the medicine
cat as she should, could still tell when she was having trouble.
For the last little while, she'd been meaning to talk with her
but never had. She'd actually been a hermit lately. The white
cat made her way over to Pheonixfeather, doing her best to not
make in totally obvious. "Hello." she meowed, stopping only a
tail length away. Again. Hermit.

[[ugh, this so makes me want to just bring in eppy but he's dead
and i haven't brought him back yet :c]]
Stygianpaw hadn't been spending much time with her friend
currently either. She hadn't really talked to her in a while.
The last time they had a real, true conversation was at least a
few months ago. The medic apprentice walked towards Pheo.

Stream walked over to her friends, a mixture of emotions running
through her. On one hand (or should I say paw) she felt bad for
the she-cat who had lost her mate. But on the other, darker side
of the medic, she felt a scary satisfaction. The orange tabby
knew how she had felt now, even if Stream'd pretended it didn't
bother her at all that she was with Eppy. Well look who was
unhappy now.
Stream pushed that dark thought away. It wasn't Pheo's fault,
and Stream certainly wasn't angry with her. Streamflow had just
really liked Eppy. "Hi," the silver cat mumbled.

Phoenixfeather looked up at the cats coming to her and gave a
weak smile, emotions showing clearly in her eyes. She was
grateful that so many cats cared, but still worried, scared,
confused, and even somewhat angry. More towards herself than
anything, though. "Hey, guys." she purred to the cats, pushing
herself up on her paws and attempting to get the apprentice off.
"Mazey, I love you, but please don't sit on my face." she
chuckled to the young she-cat, attempting to bring a paw around
her and hug her.
