It was early in the morning, about six o'clock. The sun was just
rising and Faust had just left his home. He woke up early every
day, so this was normal for him. He'd just moved here though,
and was just not starting school. Two days from now was his
first day. So, for now, he was trying to meet a few people.
Faust sat on a branch of a tree in the forest, where he felt
most at home.

(Btw, I finally found a reference for Pheo's hair. The girl's
hair in the song 'Misery Business' ((by Paramore)) is like hers,
except hers is fuller and a bit longer.)
"Red!?" The redhead called for her kitten, frowning. She looked
away for a second and then turned back to see that her rescue
was dashing into the forest. Phoenix tucke her thumbs into her
belt loops and continued to wander around.
Little Red mewed from the tree she ran up. Tail fluffed up. She
hopped down a branch and landed next to Faust, mewing.

When the cat landed next to him, he immediately scooped it up,
able to tell immediately that it was a house cat. "Hey!" he
called. Faust climbed down the tree with Red on his shoulder,
then ran towards the girl. "She's yours, I presume?" He had an
accent, one not easily placed for not many people had it
anymore. It came from naturally speaking Latin, as his entire
family did.

Pheo nodded. "Red's a girl, but thanks anyways." The short
teenager attempted to pick up her kitten. She decided to
continue the conversation. "Hey, are you new around here?"

He let her take the kitten from his shoulder before asking with
a small smile on his face, "What gave it away?"

"Well, I never heard that accent before." She said, giggling and
rocking the kitten in her arms. "And I come through this forest
all the time, but I never see you." Pheo held out her dainty
hand. "I'm Phoenix."

"Latin," he explained, then when she told him her name, he took
her hand, shaking it. "Faust. Nice to meet you," the boy
replied, smiling as he began to grow relaxed.
[i seriously didn't know that faust was a latin name when i
chose it xD]

"You speak Latin? That's not something you hear everyday." She
giggled. "And its nice to meet you too, Faust." Phoenix stood on
her toes than back to her heels, rolling back and forth before
talking again. "You don't seem to be out of school yet. What
grade are you in?"

Faust smiled and said, to prove it, "Utique, faciam." Yes, I do.
"I'm in eighth grade right now. I start school in two days, so I
thought I'd get to know some of the people I'd be seeing
around," he explained. "What grade are you in?" he asked.

She giggled. "I don't know what you just said." Phoenix smiled,
and nodded. "I'm in eighth grade too, but soon I'll be in
ninth." She looked down, mumbling under her breath.
