Emberpaw glanced back at Angelic and continued to smirk with
satisfaction when her soft-furred cheeks shyly colored
themselves light red. She was adorable! No wonder Toothpaw liked
her. Actually, his younger brother never told him he had a crush
or who it was, and it wasn't surprising why, but Emberpaw could
easily assume there was something between them whether it was
known by them or not. "And it is a great pleasure to meet you as
well, m'lady," Emberpaw purred while performing a swift bow.
Toothpaw felt a rush of jealousy when Emberpaw attempted to
flirt with his dear crush and kept his ears flattened. "This is
Angelic, I met her at a gathering. She's a good friend,"
Toothpaw informed calmly and firmly, his tail nervously
twitching back and forth as he waited for the reactions of his
siblings.
Floatingpaw relaxed a little, but not much. She forced herself
to give Angelic a respectful nod before quickly locking her gaze
on Toothpaw. "I see...Well, I'm going to find something to munch
on while you kids talk. I won't be long, so don't go anywhere,"
the somewhat mature apprentice meowed, and turned and left the
scene without waiting for an answer. She was kind of a control
freak and wanted to stay and "protect" her brother, but it felt
like walking away from them for a little while was the only way
to keep herself from calm.

Angelic giggled a bit, not minding the bits of flirting she was
getting from the tom. Again, it gave her a more feminine feel.
She dipped her head to him, then turned to Toothpaw, listening
to him. She felt her smile begin to drop. A... good friend? Was
that all she was to him? Well, its true. She was friends with
the tom. Good friends, as he said. But why didn't the title feel
right? Was it because she did like the tom a bit? Maybe. She
didn't know because, unlike most she-cats of her generation, she
didn't understand feelings like love all to much. As far as she
knew, her feelings for Toothpaw were the same for Emberpaw; she
just thought of them as cute.
Picking up her smile, the she-cat watched Floatingpaw walk away,
and panicked a bit. What did he sister say? Was she out of it
for that long? Oh goodness. The gray and white female nodded to
the leaving she-cat, then took a step closer to the toms. She
turned her blue gaze to her toothy friend. "Remind me to show
you my... uh, siblings next time." She hesitated. Were they her
siblings? Technically, yes. But... she wasn't originally their
sibling. She was a weak tiger at some point... oh, she'd explain
later. Her rper had to go anyways.

Toothpaw turned his eyes away as soon as Floatingpaw turned to
leave and settled them on Angelic, but once in a while looked
around the area. He didn't want to seem like he was staring at
her, but he wanted to be attentive. One time, when he glanced
away, he caught a hint of mischief gleaming in Emberpaw's eyes.
Yes, he often looked like that whenever there were girls around,
but this just made his heart start beating faster. Toothpaw
forced his attention away from his brother and tried to ignore
him, and steadied his gaze on Angelic. Next time? The young
apprentice smiled at those two words. "Sure thing," he answered
Angie.
Emberpaw, still smirking with enjoyment, meowed, "Just friends?
Well, in that case.." The handsome orange tom strolled up to the
sweet SerpentClanner and plopped down in a neat sitting position
beside her. "Anyway, don't mind my bossy sister, she's just
jealous of you," he purred while looking into her eyes. He
turned briefly to watch Toothpaw, waiting for his head to
explode or something.
The brown tabby tom felt his ears twitch with the irritation and
anger he'd been trying to hide. Would you cut it out?! he wanted
to yell out. To keep himself calm, he slowly sat himself down
and cleared his throat. "So, um..." he struggled to think of
something to say. He was still mad at Emberpaw, so it made it
harder to think. "I really don't want to pry, but did these
family problems..make you leave SerpentClan?" he meowed, but
soon regretting what he said afterwards. He said he didn't want
to pry, but he kinda was. Still, it was his duty to find out why
she had come here. And even though he wished it was true, he
doubted she traveled all the way to DevilClan just to say hi to
him.

When the tom sat next to her, she smiled, and attempted to bump
her shoulder to his. "Thanks. But why would she be jealous? It
seems like she has great things here." The female motioned to
the forest around them, smiling softly. She brought her gaze
back to Toothpaw. She saw how he sat down, and blushed a bit.
She was the only one standing. Awkward. Angelic slowly placed
her bottom in the grass. She listened to the tom, and decided to
give a bit of info.
"Yeah. I came here from a stop to RainClan." She mewed, keeping
the lightness in her voice. Though her body tensed and her eyes
became a little cold. "My dad... he left SerpentClan because he
felt that no one loved him there. So I set out to find him, and
did..." she paused, trying to keep her voice from shaking. Why
was it so hard to explain her problems to him? They weren't big
problems, weren't they? Well, her body's reaction to the story
said otherwise as tears glossed over her vision but didn't fall.
"Hes... um... okay, I guess. Happy, even. With a new mate... and
new children to raise..." thats when her tail fluffed up. Why
was she reacting like this!? She was making a fool of herself!
"Can... I not say more, Toothpaw...?" she murmured, her gaze
directed to the ground. She was trying to loosen her muscles and
get out of the current mental-breakdown she was entering.
( i just want to say i'm smiling like an idiot because toothpaw
is just so dang adorbs. )

[ xD no, angelictooth is adorableeeee x333
[s]or should it be angeltooth? :/[/s] ]
Emberpaw shrugged simply, "I know right?" he smiled, then looked
back over at Toothpaw when he started speaking up again. Ugh,
this is gonna get mushy isn't it? Maybe he should stop annoying
Toothpaw, as fun as it was. "I'll see you guys later," he yawned
and stood up, giving Angie's shoulder a soft goodbye nudge with
his before calmly leaving the scene.
---
Toothpaw finally glanced away from Angelic to see his brother
making his way out, making him feel relieved and nervous at the
same time. Yes, I know that doesn't make sense. He was glad he
wasn't trying to charm his crush anymore, but now he was alone.
With Angelic. Hopefully he didn't make a fool of himself, but at
least Emberpaw wouldn't be there to see it.
With his full attention now on Angie, Toothpaw listened to her
explanation with concerned features spread over his face, and
the gruff look coming from his odd tooth couldn't hide it. He
couldn't image what she was going through, since he never really
knew his parents or grew close to them. Her life was becoming
much more complicated that he thought.
"Angie, I...I had no idea," the saddened tabby murmured. "I'm so
sorry." Without thinking much about it, Toothpaw stepped forward
to slowly brush his cheek against hers in an attempt to comfort
her, or at least show her he was there for her. If she felt that
she wasn't good enough for her father, he wanted her to know she
was more than perfect to him. If only he could actually tell her
that. He couldn't bring himself to say it.
He then pulled back and forced himself to look her in the eye.
"You don't have to tell me anything, but I'm glad you did."

Angelic looked up at him, embarrassed and ashamed of herself.
She still wanted to know why she reacted like this to a story
she knew well and told many others. When he touched his cheek to
hers, she hesitated and leaned in a bit. A tiny smile grew on
her face because, again, that unnamed feeling came back. The one
where she had small flutters in her stomachs and the heat rushed
a little faster to her cheeks. What was this feeling? She'd ask
Firework later, or something. Maybe he'd know.
She pouted a bit when he pulled away, all the butterflies
disappearing with him. Though, she found herself caught in his
eyes, and smiled a bit again. She couldn't help it. "You
are...?" Angelic asked, her smile widening a bit. It was nice to
know he wasn't to angry with her for stuttering a bit ago. After
a few seconds, she lifted a paw to clear the remaining tears
from her eyes, and changed the subject.
"You know, Tooth, you're becoming more and more like the tom I
could always go to." The heat stayed in her cheeks. "Like, I'm
pretty sure that running to my brother is going to be weird, and
I can't go to my father any more." Her voice cracked when
mentioning him. She let out a giggle, thinking how funny she
was, changing emotions like that. At least they slowly
transitioned into one another.

"Yeah. Sometimes it's better to just let it all out, you know,"
Toothpaw explained, a shy smile stretching his maw when his
bright yellow eyes locked with her pretty blue orbs.
When she began speaking again about how he was someone she could
fall onto for help, he struggled to keep his eyes on hers and he
could feel his face and neck grow hot. It was a really good
feeling, to be thought of as a trustworthy friend, but also a
little bit pressuring. Even if he seemed to always know what to
say, he never thought he did, but he tried his best. Maybe it
was just his inner Floatingpaw talking, and telling him he
wasn't good enough. That was kind of mean, calling his own
doubts by his sister's name. Toothpaw quickly shook the thought
away, mentally. Where was he again? Oh, Angelic being adorable
and making him blush like a schoolgirl, like always.
Toothpaw could relate to that, in fact, he never went to his
siblings for anything. Instead, they just come to him and annoy
him. What great older siblings! Toothpaw glanced down at his
paws, then corrected himself and looked back up at Angelic.
"Really?" he murmured, smiling. "Well, I'll always be here if
you need me."

Angelic paused for a moment, just watching him and his eyes. She
couldn't help, and obviously couldn't see how awkward she could
be making it. She just saw his eyes entrancing, no matter how
common of a color they could be. And... well, to put it simple,
she liked it. The white and gray apprentice blinked twice before
tearing her gaze away from his, blood rushing to her cheeks and
burning them up. An innocent smile was stretched across her
face. She still didn't understand the feelings that she was
experiencing. She had a very, very, very, very, VERY faint idea
of what it could be, but she couldn't think of the word even
then.
"That's... great, Toothpaw. Thanks." She mewed, voice squeaking
just a bit. It was barely noticeable to the average eye. "Well,
I'd hate to go, but I think my family is missing me at this
point." Angie sighed, bringing her blue eyes back to the tom's,
butterflies just faintly tickling her tummy. Her blush was
slowly drifting away. "At least, I hope so..." she stood up and
stretched out her back. "Promise to visit my Clan soon?" she
asked, tipping her head to the side.
