Nightfeather nodded eagerly while standing up. "Of course." the
black and white loner answered, a small smile appearing on his
calm face. "Do you want to rest for the night before we go?"

before turning and heading down the scent path to his den.

Nightfeather led her into a small opening, which stretched into
a wide den that was big enough for about eight cats; a
comfortable living space. "Go ahead. You can take that nest over
there," he offered, nodding his head to a soft nest of moss and
feathers in the corner. He then flopped down on another moss bed
and leaned against the rounded wall. "Tomorrow, I'll get us some
food and then we can be on our way," Nightfeather announced
quietly, resting his sleek head on his paws.

The next day, Nightfeather went out early before Winterleaf woke
up and brought them both a meal, a rabbit and chubby finch. He
decided he would wait until she woke up to eat and took this
chance to groom himself before they went on the journey.
