Nightfeather rested on a thick branch that hid most of his dark
self besides the white half of his tail dangling of the limb.
Scents and sounds reached him, causing his eyes and ears to face
the ground below him where a young she-cat passed by. He decided
not to say anything, to see if she would notice him sitting just
a few feet above her.

staring inti his and her cream and silver pelt sparkling in the

She had a Clan-like name as well, like him. He wasn't in a Clan
anymore, but perhaps she was? Nightfeather sat up and kneaded
the tree bark from a moment, looking down on her thoughtfully.
"Are you in a Clan, or Tribe?" he questioned curiously.

She shuffled her paws. My clan was wiped out during a seaquake.
I was deputy. You may have heard of us. Beachclan? Are you in a
clan? She asked.

Nightfeather frowned and shook his head. "I haven't. I'm very
sorry for your loss," he meowed sympathetically, ears flattening
with sadness. The black and white tom braced himself before
sliding down the tree trunk to have better conversation with
her. "And, no...not anymore. I used to live with a small Clan
called MossClan."
