Teddypaw padded around the camp, his hopeful brown orbs
searching around the camp for a certain apprentice, Mazedpaw. Oh
yes, now was his chance to finally meet the sweet she-cat, who
often clung to the medicine cat named Phoenixfeather. He
probably would've earlier, but dawny was being an inactive butt
with poor Teddypaw. He didn't even have a doubt in his mind, for
he was just too excited. Nothing like 'Would she like me?' or
'She might laugh at me!' Nope! Well, not yet, anyway.

Mazedpaw trotted out of the medicine cat's den, carefuly
planting a rare herb in the ground then sitting down next to it.

Teddypaw soon spotted her and stopped, watching her carefully
settle the plant into the earth and sit down beside it. He took
a calming breath before padding over. "Hello, Mazedpaw?" he
greeted while slipping on a warm smile. "I'm not sure if you
know my name? I'm Teddypaw."

"You too!" he purred. Teddypaw felt relieved. At least he wasn't
a stranger in the Clan! The fawn solid tom flicked his short,
thick tan tail and sat himself down. "Um, well...I just wanted
to talk to you. I've seen you around, but I didn't get the
chance to say hi and introduce myself," he explained, glancing
down at his paws and then back at her. "I did want to ask you
something, though..."

"Yes, um, would you like to come to the formal..with me?"
Teddypaw blinked at her hopefully, but his face still blushed
with embarrassment. "I-I know we don't know each other very
well, but..I'd like to!" he added, shuffling his two front paws.

Teddypaw excitedly jumped to his soft paws and his tail swished
back and forth quickly, almost wagging. "Really?" the fawn solid
apprentice blurted out happily. "That's great! I can't wait to
see you there," he purred, a joyful smile dancing on his maw. He
was so happy! He just...he just wanted to hug somebody! He
resisted, though, they just met after all.
