Toothpaw hesitantly padded into the clearing with wide, round
yellow eyes. He was a little nervous, but still hopeful. The
young tom had a black bow tie wrapped neatly around his neck,
which he really didn't want to wear to the formal, but
Floatingpaw demanded it. He thought about pulling it off, but he
was already there. Oh well. The brown tabby tried to lighten his
moods by sliding on a friendly smile when he spotted Angelic
just walking in, and padded over while cheerfully swaying his
tail back and forth. "Hey," he began, worry taking hold of his
expression when he noticed how anxious she seemed. Did he come
too late? "Is everything okay?" he asked quickly, and then
swiped his tongue over his thick shoulder.

Teddypaw bounded up to Mazedpaw, sliding in beside her. "Hey!
Sorry, I'm kinda late, aren't I?" he meowed while his ears
flattened against his head shamefully. One paw began shuffling
around in the cold dirt nervously, missing his comforting scarf.
He had decided to take it off for the formal, to look nicer, but
it was usually what kept him from being shy. Well, at least he
wasn't going to be alone. Hopefully.

"That's true. I haven't spent a summer here yet, so I don't know
what its like." Roanoke tried an excuse, smiling and shrugging.
Angelic just barely jumped when she heard the tom's voice. The
worry on her face washed away when she recognized him, and she
grinned. "Hey, Toothpaw!" She purred, tail flicking, now with
excitement. She let some heat rise to her face as he questioned
her. "Oh, no. I'm just a bit nervous, that's all." She giggled,
adverting her gaze to the bow tied around his neck. Again, she
giggled. "Toothpaw, I love your bowtie. Honestly. Its just so
adorable, especially on you." She smiled brightly, trying to
make him smile too.

"It's great!" she mewed. She could have sealed without all the
emotional torture that summer, but other than that, the weather
was nice and it was a good experience.
