Great StarClan this cough was annoying. The tribe leader had had
a cold and sore throughout for a couple days now, and had
started thinking about medicine and how she could get healthier
as soon as possible. Because being sick was miserable as hell.
And it had just dawned on Sunstar that they didn't even have a
full medicine cat. How would the medicine apprentices ever learn
anything without someone teaching them? The she-cat had an idea
for how they'd go about this, but she wanted her tribe's
approval.
Leaping onto a rounded, dark gray stone near the roof of their
cave, the orange and white she-cat called, "Tribe of the Moon's
Shadow! Please gather for an important meeting!" She smiled in
satisfaction as her voice was carried throughout the entire
camp. It echoed nicely here; maybe now her tribe could hear her
soft voice better and she wouldn't have to resort to her
screechy loud voice.

Petrichor walked over, watching quietly. He was heading back to
RainClan for a bit soon, then he would come back. he would tell
Sunstar when he left, and he'd definitely be back, but he liked
having multiple Clans.

AJ hopped over gingerly, finally getting used to the common
echoes and burning sand. A smile gre on her face as she sat down
and looked up at her leader.

As she saw cats starting to make their way over, Sunny
continued. "As you may have noticed, we have no fully trained
medicine cat. And how can our apprentices ever learn all they
need to without a mentor?" the van cat let the information sink
in before speaking again. [b]"I've thought of a plan, but I want
your approval first. My idea was for our medicine apprentices to
go train with an ally clan under their medicine cat, and their
apprentices can come here to help us while they're gone. When
Angel and Berrypaw have finished their training, they will be
sent back here to become full medicine cats and our ally's
apprentices will be sent home. An exchange program, I guess."

Ringkit smiled, for the past few months, she's been wanting to
grow up and become a medicine cat, but only her brother knew
about this.
Partystreamers smiled brightly. "Yay!" She giggled.

Berrypaw sat down at the back of the meeting with her ears
flattened. At first she was nervous to hear what it was about.
Was she getting demoted? She wasn't as active as she should be,
or that great of a medicine cat. She was still an apprentice
after all. However, the lynx point's face soon lit up when
Sunstar finished explaining the situation. Berrypaw smiled and
nodded excitedly, knowing their leader was giving them a chance
to keep working as a medicine cat. She wasn't even anxious about
the idea of working at another Clan, only eager. For now,
anyway, because Berrypaw tended to be a worrywart.
Snowpaw sat beside Ringkit and Labkit, one ear pricked in the
direction of the speaker and the other her kits.
Crashingpaw yawned, barely hearing what she said because he
decided a lizard cautiously passing by was more interesting.

It seemed like they all supported her idea. Great! "The question
is, which ally should we trade medicine apprentices with? I, as
a leader, don't know much about medical stuff, but since you
two-- Berrypaw and Angel, go to monthly gatherings with the
others, you should know who you're most comfortable with." It
was really up to them to choose where they'd go; Sunstar only
had to make sure they were going to treat them well.

AJ thought the idea was great. It would be a good experience for
the medicine cat apprentices. But the female wondered if she
could somehow weasel her way into it. Maybe she could convince
her leader that she would go to watch them? No, surely they'd
choose a safe Clan... ugh! The ocelot settled down in the
forming group, wondering.
