Deathblade laid beside the new nursery, soaking in the little
sun that winter, and these trees, provided. She didn't really
know what to think about at that moment; her kits? Zero?
Tigereye? The formal? More and mor things buzzed in her mind as
she tried to sort them out.

Tigereye spotted Death by the nursery as he came into camp. He
was having to refamiliarize himself with good herb spots in this
territory. Not to mention the new plants he was finding. He'd
have to run tests with them later to find out what they did
which meant catching some live test subjects. But that was a
problem for later. For now, he was going to give Death a hello.
As he walked closer, the thought of the upcoming formal came to
mind. He'd almost forgotten about that. It wasn't something that
was usually on his radar. He should ask Death right? That's what
one did in a relationship like this, right? Yes. He would ask
her. "Hello." He said, stopping in front of her.

The young she-cat pricked her ears and stretched out her paws.
Deathblade turned her one eye to him before giving a small smile
and got into a sitting position. "Hey, Tigereye. Seen any good
herbs lately?"

The orange cat returned the smile ever so slightly. "Some yes. A
lot of new ones too. I-" He was about to launch into some
complicated explination of his plan for how to find out what
they did but that wasn't what he'd come here to do. Formal. He
came to ask about the formal. "What do you think of Frozenclan
holding a dance?" He asked, arranging himself in front of her.

Deathblade flicked the tip of her tail when he cut himself off
from talking about herbs. To be honest, she liked hearing about
the arrangments of leaves of berries. They were things you could
always be reliant on. Plus, when you spend a week in the
medicine den after being r.ped, you pick up a lot of things, and
she wanted to impress him by telling him a few of the things she
remembered. Oh well.
The queen blinked a few times when he mentioned the formal. "To
be honest, FrozenClan makes my skin crawl. I mean, they
basically lived on a glacier! With no protection from the trees
or warm ground." She scrunched up her nose at the though, but
then relaxed a bit. "But the formal itself? I think it would be
nice. First fun thing to do in a while." She put on a gentile
smile before tipping her head to the side. "Why are you asking?"

Well that was an opinion. He could understand her reasoning
though he simply viewed it as a different way of life. And this
whole thing was off topic. He was glad to hear that she was
alright with the idea of the formal though. "I was just
wondering if you'd like to go with me." He said almost casually.
Inside though, it was a bit more than just a casual question. A
weird feeling balled up in his stomach. He didn't like that.

Wait. Was she, probably one of the worst she-cats in the Clan,
just asked to the formal by the medicine cat? Sure, she had
admitted her feelings for him, and he did the same but... he
could do better. So much better. She used her lone green eye to
search his, flicking her right ear. When she saw that he was
really asking, and wasn't going to make a joke of this, she felt
silly. He wasn't like other toms. No, he was better.
"Really?" She couldn't resist asking the single worded question,
before giving a tight nod. "Sure, Tigereye. Sounds like a lot of
fun." She smiled just a bit more, getting the usual giddiness
that many girls get when being asked to a public place, on a
date.

He gave her a small smile, the most he ever did, completely
oblivious to her surprise or giddiness. He was just glad she'd
said yes. He would have looked pretty dumb if she'd turned him
down.
