Fallingstar relaxed at the edge of camp, lounging on her side
while lost in thought as she stared up at the blue sky peeking
through the clouds. Everything was going so well now that they
found and settling in their new territory, and lately the gray
bengal was in a very cheerful and laid back mood. She felt a
little childish, even, thinking about FrozenClan's winter formal
approaching and pairing up cats who would most likely go
together. She didn't think she herself would go with a date,
though, since toms didn't seem to notice her much. Well, maybe
they did, but Fallingstar didn't know that.

Petrichor saw Fallingstar sitting alone and tilted his head
slightly. He didn't see her around much, even if she was the
leader of the Clan. The sand-colored cat stood up and walked
over to her, sitting beside her. At first he didn't say
anything, just waiting to see if she would ask why he had come
over.

Fallingstar's thoughts quickly faded as she looked over at the
approaching warrior. "Hello Petrichor," she greeted swiftly with
one small dip of her head. "Can I help you?" The gray bengal
perked her wide ears up for an answer as she sat up to face him
easily.

Unlike some cats, he wasn't shy. He just came out and said it,
straight off, instead of trying to work it into a conversation.
"Want to go to FrozenClan's formal with me?" he asked, a playful
smile on his maw. Sure, he'd never talked to her. And sure, he
didn't know a thing about her, but why not? Petrichor basically
wanted to see how she would react if someone who barely knew her
asked her to go the formal with them.

Her mouth dropped and her pretty green orbs expanded in shock.
Petrichor definitely caught the RainClan leader by surprise.
Fallingstar choked out a stutter, "I-I- me?" She gulped down her
anxiety as she shyly shifted her wide gaze to the ground. Did he
just...say that? Why? Why her? Her hormones swirling with
confusion, Fallingstar looked back up at the tom with much
embarrassment showing in her eyes. "You're kidding?" she
squeaked, following that with a nervous laugh. She didn't know
him that well, perhaps he had a sense of humor? But how was that
supposed to be funny? It certainly wasn't to her.
[ falling acts like a little school girl sometimes. xD ]

"Nah, I'm serious," he replied, amused at how she became
embarrassed. Petrichor assumed it was because not many cats
would just go up and ask a leader like that, but he wasn't most
cats, was he? Smirking he asked, "So? Will you?"

Fallingstar tried her best to calm down, taking a quiet, deep
breath before hesitantly locking her green gaze with his. "I'm
flattered, Petrichor...I'd love to," she agreed in a short purr,
putting on a little smile with a small dip of her head.

purred the cat as he moved to walk away.

Fallingstar nodded again as he turned to leave, and the RainClan
leader did as well to avoid looking at him again. She was so
embarrassed, but excited. Or maybe she was just really really
nervous, or all three. Her heart was still pounding and face hot
with embarrassment as she headed over to her den to calm
herself.
