Decembersnow, after leaving her home, had followed scents she
knew of. Coalstar, Winterpaw, and even Springthaw's to find
where the territory was. And when she got there, she had to say
she was impressed. The red canyons were definately different
than the snowy terrain of what she, once again, had gotten used
to. She pressed herself forward, until she scented the markers.
The femme didn't exactly know if would be accepted here. But she
did know that if she wasn't, then she would have to run away.
She wouldn't be able to go back to FrozenClan after their
thinking of her death.
She almost went over the border, but caught herself and took a
step back. She then sat down on the burning hot ground and
waited.

Lucarkit, a young kit who had recently joined, was wandering
around, until he spotted Decembersnow. "Hi there!" He greeted
cheerfully, bounding over to the older she-cat.

Coalstar patrolled the red rock valley, enjoying the gorgeous
views and sights. He was very proud and content with this
territory, he didn't think anything else would've done better.
He decided he would keep going on regular trips to mark the land
for a while until everyone was settled in. Which was definitely
a good idea.
Coalstar narrowed his dark green orbs with confusion when a very
familiar scent closed in on his. Deccy? She's here? Excitement
begged him to run over to the scene without a thought, but
instead he cautiouslly followed the trail.
So, he was correct. There she was, sitting patiently at the
border in wait while a young kitten trotted up to her without
fear. He hesitated rushing up to her with the loving greetings
he wanted to give, just in case she didn't want it spread
around. She might just be here on Clan business, but what would
his enemy Clan, FrozenClan, want to do with him? And why send a
medicine cat. Did he find out about their relationship, and sent
Decembersnow to make him spill out AshClan secrets? She was
acting a little hesitant the last time he talked to her. Did
she...still love him?
These anxious thoughts of doubt almost vanished when he noticed
that her ear was missing a piece. He gulped down his worry and
tried to avoid her gaze at first, walking up beside the kit and
giving him a small nudge. "What are you doing so far out of
camp, and so close to the border?" he meowed sternly to
Lucarkit. "Nevermind, no time for scoldings now, don't leave my
sight until I bring you back to camp." he ordered, and then
finally brought his attention up to Decembersnow.
He wasn't really sure what to say, which put him into more
sadness. They were falling apart, weren't they? Coalstar still
loved her more than anything, yet he had many doubts about her
feelings for him. "Decembersnow..." he murmured, his gruff voice
softening. "Is everything alright?"

Lucarkit looked at Coalstar with guilt, then turned his
attention back to Decembersnow.

Decembersnow brightened at the sight of the kitten. So young, so
innocent. She remembered the days where her kits were that
small, always tripping over their own feet. It almost made her
want more. Almost. She was sure that she wasn't meant to ever
have kits again. Not because of anything health related, but
because she already broke the code three times in her life and
having another litter would be pushing her luck. The white
female purred quietly, replying to the little one.
"Oh, hello there." She put on a kind smile. "Aren't you a little
far from camp? Are you lost? Hurt?" She leaned down and
attempted to lick the kitten's forehead with a small giggle.
Although she didn't want another litter, she did want to raise
more kittens. Give the abandoned ones hopes for their future. As
she straightened her posture, she saw a distinct gray figure
padding towards them. Coalstar!
Her heart did a little flip, though stopped altogether when it
seemed that he ignored her. He worried for the kit more than
her... wait, was the kit his? Did he find someone else to love?
To have kits with? To not break the code with? A small set of
shivers went up her back, despite the heat. Oh, no. No no no no.
Get yourself together, Deccy! Hes probably an adopted kitten
who's parents died. Yeah, that.
It felt as if her tongue went dry as he turned to her. "I...
uh..." she flicked her neatly groomed tail (which i shall
explain out of character) and found words to answer him. "I...
don't feel at home with FrozenClan anymore... so I promoted one
of my apprentices and... ran away." [I]not a total lie... but
still not the truth.[/i] "I was wondering if someone as humble
as you would allow me to join?"
[S]idk why but deccy reminds me of snow white at times[/s]
(Anyways, the whole thing with her tail and, well, fur in
general is the fact that Deccy knew that if she kept her long
coat, she wouldn't be able to keep long. So before she went to
AshClan, she got a twoleg to bring her in and groom her of her
knots and most of her fur. Though she is still very adorable
with her short legs and new fur style<3)

Coalstar almost didn't catch the words of the medicine cat since
he was gazing worriedly at the chip on her ear. It was covered
in cobwebs, so he really didn't know how bad it was or how it
ended up like that, but that was the thing. All he had to figure
it out was his imagination, and all he could think was that she
was attacked, but she didn't have any other wounds, or look
scraped up at all. In fact, she looked very well groomed
and...beautiful. Ugh, why did they have to fall apart? Would he
be able to fix this?
The gray tabby twitched his ear and blinked his green orbs back
on hers, trying to shake himself out of the daze. He was a
little shocked- no, very shocked to hear those words slip out of
her mouth. What? How could the loyal FrozenClan medicine cat,
who left her mate and half her litter to return to icy world,
suddenly abandon it? And not only that, she ran away. Was
she...afraid of something? Was someone after her? Or...or did
she...did she miss him?
Coalstar now felt his heart soar. Maybe she still loved him!
Perhaps they weren't going to lose each other after all. A wide
smile of joy spread across his maw, one of the expressions he
missed when he visited his precious mate. "Of course! Of course
you can," the stocky tom stepped forward and brushed his rough
tongue over her unwounded ear.

usual cheerfulness.

The smile, the gesture, everything the tom did gave her hope. Of
course, he must still have some care for her, right? That's all
she needed to hold on to at this point, to be honest. She let
out a calm purr and gave his neck a lick in return, holding back
her excitement. "Thank you, Coalstar. You don't know how much
this really means to me." She, again, flicked her tail and tood
up completely, resisting the urge to stretch. "Though, I'm sorry
to say I may not have much use to your Clan in the beginning.
Because, as you know, medicine cats don't fight." She mewed
quickly, pulling away. She wanted to help her love's Clan, but
she wanted him to know that she would be trying her best.
"I will be helping as much as I can, though. Maybe collecting
herbs here and there if your medicine cats accept the help. But
otherwise I'll be training to hunt and fight."

Morningdawn came in beside Coalstar. She smiled at the former
medicine cat. "Deccy! Why are you so far from FrozenClan?
Shouldnt you be caring for your clanmate's health?" Then,
hearing her explanation, she purred at the thought of help.
"Well if you want you sure can help us collect some herbs to
bring our new storage to life. Hummingbird seems alot out of
shape and she doesnt do much of her job anymore and dear
StarClan knows where Dawningpaw is, so im bascially the only
medicine cat doing work."
