if i can remember i know this will conquer me [open]

Petrichor was in the middle of camp, watching Hallowskit. He
intrigued him, and he felt a bond with him, but he didn't know
why. Or he hadn't, until now. Recently, when he slept, he
dreamed. When he dreamed, he dreamed of the life of someone
else, the one he used to be. He hadn't known that, not until it
started happening while he was awake. Then he knew it was real,
but he hadn't figured it out until today, just what it meant;
this cat, who he was pretending to be... it wasn't him. It felt
natural, but he had memories of other lives. Both of
Emptypromises and of Falloutpaw. They both bounced around his
head, distracting him, making him lose focus sometimes. He now
knew why he felt a connection to the kits. Now that he knew, he
wondered why he hadn't seen it earlier. He was their father. The
tom smiled slightly and walked to Hallowskit. He gently touched
his nose to the black kitten's.

"Hi, Petrichor!" The little white she-cat bounced over beside
her brother and looked up at the older tom. "How are you?" She
felt proud for knowing her clanmate's name.

Phoenixfeather had watched her kits from afar, doing her little
herb tricks. Though, when she saw Petrichor, she stopped and
watched them more closely. Ever since their birth and the tom's
lingering, she felt uneasy to be around him, and was sure as
hell that she didn't want her kits to be alone with him. The
ginger femme's tail fluffed up when he touched noses with her
son. She walked over slowly, head raised. She didn't bat her
children away from him, as that would show that she didn't trust
the tom. Which... at times, she didn't. He wa in other Clans
for crying out loud!
"Petrichor." She greated curtly, before taking one step back and
curling her tail around her legs as she sat down.

"Hello Downkit," he purred softly, looking down at the other
kitten. The sandy-furred cat looked to the medic and replied,
"Hey there." He hesitated, not knowing if he should tell her,
before deciding to wait.

"You seem to have taken a liking to Downkit and Hallowskit." She
commented, holding back a small frown and keeping her lips in a
thin line.

"Yeah, um, well, you see..." he stuttered, trying to come up
with something. "Er, kits just generally like me, I guess."
Petrichor then hesitated before moving away from the kits,
seeing she was uneasy with it.

She slitted her eyes a bit. Petrichor, stuttering... didn't
sound like the tough 'I don't care' guy she saw around. Though,
she shook her thoughs of it and let him be. Hewas probably going
through hard times and she was maybe making it worse. "Well,
then talk to you later." She mewed as he walked away.
