As the tall albino led his Clan into a snow-capped forest, his
bloody red orbs carefully examined the scents and sights around
him. Here they all walked upon a flat plain covered with pine
trees reaching for the sky. He could easily smell many, many
rodents beneath the ground and around them, and birds calling
and rushing from one tree branch to another. This looked
promising so far.
After a little while of traveling, the woods began to slowly
disappear until none were standing. An endless, cold and hard
snowy plain was left. He could smell a hare or two, but that was
it. The only living things he could see at the moment were
plenty of shrubs and small plants as such, and in the distance a
slowly moving herd of some kind of deer. It wasn't hard to see
that this was a frozen tundra, a very hard place to live, but
with a fitting forest beside it. He decided, as it was most
likely going to be their new home, that the territory would end
somewhere around here.
When they headed back in the forest, he let his Clan rest by one
of the tallest pines he had spotted so far. He noticed an old
fox den under the roots of this one large tree. Perhaps this
could be their camp? Icestar looked around and made out a circle
of close pine trees where they could weave shrubs and thin
branches to make a wall. That could take a while though, weaving
dens and such, so he tried to use other things around him. Very
fortunate for them, a fallen hollow log lay halfway in the
circle an halfway out. The part of the trunk that was spiking
out branches growing pine leaves was inside the "camp," so that
would help a lot with the dens. Then the long hole in the log
would be the entrance/exit for the camp. Making camp would be
difficult, but here the ground was definitely a lot softer than
the tundra, so perhaps they could dig some more dens if they
really needed to.
When he finished the plan of the camp, he felt that it was
finally all coming together. The warriors' and the apprentices'
dens would be on both sides of the log entrance, hidden in the
long protective branches. The medicine den would have to be
built from plants and mud next to one of the trees in or part
the camp circle. The nursery be the old fox den, which of course
would have to be widened, and his den would have to be made as
well as the medicine cat's den.
Perhaps this wasn't an easy task of settling down, but they were
FrozenClan, after all. They were going to make it happen. At
least, Icestar was.
