AJ, for one, wasn't disappointed she didn't get the spot. But,
again, she didn't approve of Pet. He hadn't even joined the
Clan, technically. Then there's the fact that he is in another
Clan at the same time. Everything just spelled out
'untrustworthy' to her. But she didn't say anything, since
Sunstar must have her reasons.

Techy was the most disappointed, deep inside, he wanted to prove
himself useful to the Clan. "Oh well..." He sighed to himself,
going back to his den to continue his nap.

The young mother gave the two youngins' a soft smile before
turning her expectant gaze towards the leader. It wasn't long
before her heart dropped again, Snowpaw let a small pout appear
on her face. She didn't trust him one bit, but of course,
Snowpaw didn't trust any other toms besides her family.

The female screwed up her nose before smiling uneasily. No, she
wasn't AJ the downer. AJ the b.tch. She was AJ, the happy one.
And even if it was a simple label, she was fine with it. Once
that was decided, she dipped her head to the new deputy and
slowly retreated to her den. From now on, little girl here would
be watching her tail for this so-called 'deputy'.
Mistpaw found herself grinning like an idiot. Finally, they had
a deputy! The usual carefree girl disregarded the fact that the
new deputy was incredibly young, new to the Clan, and to most,
not the least bit loyal or knowlegeable about Clan ways. She
looked for Bluepaw to tell him the news of the deputy, dainty
white paws pricking.

The leader smiled softly. "Thanks, Petty. And one more
announcement! Er, call me Sunstar now, please." The short name
sounded weird to her, but perhaps she'd get used to it.
