The pregnant female sat down at the edge of the new camp, head
held high. She needed someone, anyone, to speak to her. To tell
her everything will be fine. To make sure she was okay. Sure,
she had dozens of close friends to comfort her, but lately she
felt to useless to ask them for comfort. And the fact that she
was scared to show weakness in front of some of them; Owlfeather
and Streamflow come to mind. One would scold her fur not getting
over the betrayal and death of her mate, and the other would
consider demoting her.
Usual bright amber eyes were dull as she looked over the new
camp in search of someone to talk to.

Stygianpaw, as she usually did when she was bored, was pacing
the camp. It kept her from becoming restless, but didn't take
away the boredom. Maybe talking to someone would do the trick.
When she began to search the camp, though, she saw an upset
Phoenixfeather. She expected the medic to be upset; her mate had
just died, of course she would be. "Hey there, Pheo," the
apprentice mewed to her friend as she walked over to sit beside
her. "Are you alright?"

she-cat didn't say anything; she didn't know what to say.

She shrugged. "I'm fine. I know I should have, but I'm kinda
