Pheo mentally cursed at herself. She had told everyone important
to her directly - Deli, Eppy. Everyone except one, Streamflow.
And it had been bothering her like a flea. The ginger she-cat
looked for the medic, someone she looked up to ever since she
was very little. "Streamflow~?" She called, a grin appearing on
her muzzle. She was actually kind of excited to tell Stream. She
was a happy, bubbly cat, wasn't she? Pheo rarely saw her
otherwise. And because of her traits, Phoenixfeather wasn't
afraid to tell her.

"Yeah?" The medic called, swishing her silver tail back and
forth. As she pulled her face out of the herb storage she
brought with her a few clingy leaves and berries. "Ugh,"
Streamflow grumbled, twitching her right eat to free it of some
sort of leaf.
Is this before or after Eppy tells her she's preggers?

The ginger female, hearing Stream's voice, trotted towards her.
"Stream! You have to guess what!" She squeaked, tail flicking
excitedly. Eppy and Deli already calmed most of her worries, so
at this point she was just an excited mother.

"Hmm?" The medic mewed calmly. She had an idea about what she
was going to say.

Pheo sat down and curled her tail around her paws with a large
grin. "I'm pregnant! I'm gonna have babies in a few months!" She
squealed excitedly.

Streamflow wanted to be happy for her friend, but that was
nearly impossible for two reasons: one, she still had a major
crush on the kits' father and was totally heartbroken, and two,
Pheo was a medicine cat. And since Stream was the head medic,
she had to be at least a little leader-like. Breaking a huge
rule was nothing to squeal excitedly about. The medic sighed and
looked down, not wanting to make eye contact. "I honestly
thought you had more self-control than this," she murmured. "I'm
disappointed in you."

Pheo was taken back, but understood where she was coming from.
She thought she had self control as well, but apparently things
change. "I... I know." She forced her excited smile down and
flattened her ears. The medic, although bursting with joy and
excitement, couldn't help but now feel guilt and disappointment
in herself. "I'm sorry for doing wrong, Streamflow." She tried
to look for the right words.

She didn't really know what to say back. The medic simply sighed
again and looked out into the forest.

"I won't be demoted, will I?" She asked cautiously. "I
understand if you have to do so." She dipped her head.

"No. I'm not demoting you." No matter how depressed and upset
she could make her, Pheo was her friend, and Streamflow didn't
think she could ever be that harsh on her. Or anyone for that
matter. "I don't know how you'll manage, though. You can't slack
off on your medic duties."
