She was scared and nervous, shaking just a bit. The medic never
thought she'd be in this position, and definately not in this
time and place. She was hoping to be in a safer place, more
secure. But nope. Obviously not. Phoenixfeather was wandering
around, trying to avoid those like Streamflow, Deliriadreams,
and Emptypromises. Talking to any of them would result in her
revealing her little secret. [s]she was batman[/s] A sceret she
should really tell Eppy.

The large brown tabby could tell Phoenixfeather wanted to be
alone. Though Emptypromises didn't want to annoy her by going up
to her when she wanted to be alone, he wanted to know why she
seemed so nervous. Eppy pushed himself up from where he was
sitting, trotting towards the ginger tabby. "Phi?" he asked.
"You okay?" Sitting down beside her, he looked towards her.

She squeaked, almost silently, at the sudden appearance of her
mate. She blinked a few times before mentally cursing at
herself. It was just Eppy! Why was she so scared?! Deciding to
break the silence that felt like it went on for hours (it was
probably only a few seconds), she shook her head. "I'm just...
worried... maybe a little nervous... but I'm okay! Don't worry."

Emptypromises noticed how different she seemed compared to how
she was normally. He nudged his mate gently and asked, "What are
you so worried about?"

Pheo looked down at her paws as she curled her tail around them.
She could say the truth, or she could go ahead and say something
else... "Well, for one, the journey could be long and
dangerous." She murmured, deciding on both subjects at once. She
brought her eyes back up to him, still somehow trying to avoid
his, and attempted at nuzzling his cheek. "And I'm worried for
you, and Deli, and Stream.." [i]and every little being growing
inside of me.

"It's alright," he told her quietly. "We're all okay, you have
no need to worry. When we move, we'll find a place twice as good
as we ever had here." Maybe he didn't believe part of what he
said, but Phoenixfeather didn't need to know that. Eppy let her
nuzzle his cheek and then brushed his muzzle against hers. She
had a secret, but he did too, and he didn't want to tell
anybody. The long-furred cat had decided that they didn't need
to know.

She sighed quietly. Worries andnquestions still swarmed her
head, but she decided to put them away and think about them
later. Right now, she had to think about a way to tell Eppy.
Maybe she could begin with embarrassing him? Nah. That would be
to much and to harsh. And she would end up being all
blushy-blushy herself if she was like, 'So, Eppy, remember when
we had sex a few weeks ago?' Pheo rolled her shoulders back and
let out a little yawn, deciding what she wanted to say.
"Hey, Eppy? Do you ever see yourself as a father? Like, a real
father?" She asked, keeping her voice from shaking.

He frowned for a moment before replying, "I guess I never really
thought about it." Intertwining his tail with hers, Eppy asked,
"Why do you ask?"

Pheo kneaded the ground, her eyes darting around. "Well..." now
she had to tell him. Plus, it was wrong for her to even keep
this a secret and think that he would leave her. The medic
straightened her posture, looking straight into the tom's eyes.
"Emptypromises," she started, using his formal name because she
wanted to be polite. "I'm pregnant. With your kits." She told
her baby-daddy, blinking once or twice while waiting for his
reaction.

At first he didn't understand. When he finally let himself hear
her, the tomcat's eyes widened. Opening his mouth to reply,
Emptypromises couldn't think of anything to say. Of course, he
thought it was great that it had happened, but now when he did
end up telling her what he was hiding, it would make everything
worse. "That's wonderful, Pheo," the tom replied, trying to hide
just how much his smile was forced.
[so i think i'm gonna kill off eppy a bit before the kits are
born
i think i remember the plot we came up with]
