Angelic, now that she was clean and bright-eyed, looked for new
cats to talk to. The former tiger wanted to meet new cats, make
new friends.

Toothpaw slouched over a chubby rabbit while lazily poking at
it. The young apprentice was kind of a weakling, at least, he
looked like one. His body was small like a kitten's, frail and
stubby-legged. He also still had those large ears and eyes like
any kit would have. However, someday he would grow quite strong
and buff, but for now, he was a runt of a trainee. He stood out
even more from the rest of his apprentice not just for his size,
but because of a sharp tooth displaying itself on his bottom
lip. And so, his only friend was his own sister, Floatingpaw,
and perhaps Emberpaw, who wouldn't really hang around him, but
defended him when needed. Floatingpaw was an excellent hunter,
and she often brought he meals to eat whether he was hungry or
not, but she was determined to help him get stronger. Little did
she know that doing everything for him wasn't going to help, but
Toothpaw loved his sister too much to say it to her face.

Rolling back the broad shoulders she was given by her 'father' (
who she hadn't seen in a while ), the gray and white kitten
trotted over to Toothpaw. Though his body shape and tooth was
intimidating, she brought up the courage to smile and speak.
"Hello!" She squeaked. "My name is Angelic. Whats yours,
Mister?" She, like her mother, had a knack for nicknames, and
liked it when they sounded cute. This meant she would most
likely give the tom a nickname, if he accepted the potential
friendship.

Toothpaw blinked his slowly extending yellow eyes before quickly
sliding them over towards the she-kit, a bit shocked. He
hesitated to reply, cautiously breathing in her scent before
daring to speak. She was from SerpentClan, he was sure of it.
Because, even though all their homes were wrecked to pieces, the
strong chlorine smell still clung to the kitten's pelt. "Um,
Toothpaw," he murmured, self-consciously wrapping his bony tail
around his unusually wide paws. Sure, he was from DevilClan, but
not all cats were bold and fearless there. Right?

Angelic flicked the tip of her tail, smiling gingerly. Since she
didn't know other Clan scents, she didn't take recognition of
what Clan he was from. It was sure to pop up in conversation,
right? "I like your name, Toothpaw. Its... unique." The kitten
giggled. "But its a bit of a mouthful. Can I give you a
nickname?"

Firework walked over to his younger sister, the limp from his
now healed broken leg fully gone. Hey Angelic," he purred.

Toothpaw gave a nervous laugh to the SerpentClanner's reaction
to his name and let his ears and eyes lower down shyly. It was
unique alright. His mother, who left when they were only young
kits, decided to name her runt after his own defect. It was
quite embarrassing, in his eyes, but he guessed he had to live
with it. "Er, sure," he answered, finally putting on a modest
smile. He felt oddly comfortable with this kitten. She kind of
reminded him of Floatingpaw, but she was sweeter, and honest.
Yes, Floatingpaw did lie to him, but she only did so to protect
him. As Firework waltzed into the conversation, Toothpaw kept
quiet, still hanging his head towards the ground.

The fluffy gray and white kitten flicked her tail in thought.
"Maybe Toothy? Mister T? Or maybe Tom?" Her smile turned into a
nervous one, since she couldn't come up with a satisfying
nickname for the tom. Hey, I said she liked giving nicknames
out. I didn't say she was creative with it. She allowed her ears
to flop down and tipped her head to the side when Firework
appeared. Angie then straightened out her posture and smiled.
"Toothpaw, this is my brother, Firework!" She introduced the
toms to each other, smiling brightly.

He smiled at his younger sister before looking over to Toothpaw
and dipping his head. "Nice to meet you!" the tom greeted,
sitting down and watching for a second. The small,
apprentice-aged cat then asked, "You're from DevilClan, right?"

Toothpaw smiled with much amusement at her attempts to give a
short title. He honestly didn't care what she called him. Pff,
she could call him dung-face for all he cared, he was suddenly
and somehow sure she wouldn't mean to hurt him. Well, make it
something a bit nicer. Toothpaw then blinked his bright yellow
orbs as they switched over to Firework's face. "You too," he
meowed softly and politely, and then added a small, sure nod in
reply to the question.
