Naomi was walking the pathway where cherry blossoms were.
Usually they were vibrant, and pink. But at the moment they
looked like dead branches. But even that was a breath taking
sight. She reached up, being all tall and all, and picked off
the last flower, still vibrant and beautiful. She stuck it in
her own, long, bone straight and jet black hair. Her dark blue
eyes sparkled as she crinkled her nose and looked into a puddle.
Dammit. Even a flower didn't look right on her. Her eyes
retreated to dull once more.
Yes, she was the one girl that wasn't confident in what she
looked like. Sure, she admitted that she was cute to herself.
But in her eyes, nothing looked right and cute at all. Her ears
were to elfy, her nose was a bit to buttonish, and her freckles
were in all the wrong spots. Whats worse is that she was as pale
as the sidewalk she strode on. All these things made her 'not
pretty' in her eyes. What mostly summed it up was that she heard
rumors that all of her friends had crushes and people crushing
on them. But she never heard anything about herself.

[center]many thought he was hot, but jasper didn't have time to
notice. he usually was running from a sadistic psycopath who had
an odd grudge on him. running from town to town. never stopped.
but today he strolled the streets, hands stuffed in his pockets.
he was wearing a black-and-navy-blue striped hoodie with a plain
white t-shirt under it. he also wore baggy jeans.[/center]

Naomi sighed again and held onto the flower as she walked back
to the beginning of the side walk. She was wearing a skirt with
thick jeggings and converse, along with a jersey-looking
sweater. The young girl stepped to the side to allow Jasper to
walk by, fixing her hair so it covered her 'elfy' ears.

[center]he looked at the girl, and stopped. "are you okay,
miss?" he asked, taking off the hood of his hoodie to reveal
silver-dyed shaggy hair. the shadow over his face was removed,
revealing thin lips, a sharp nose but not too sharp, and hazel
eyes. yup, apparently he was hot.[/center]

She was shocked by the stranger's question, nodding slowly. "I
guess..." she moved her arms so they were behind her back, one
hand gripping the other arm's elbow to keep herself from
fiddling with things. "Oh, how about you?" She asked quickly,
trying to be polite.

Again, she was shocked. The black-haired girl accepted his hand
after a few moments of thinking. "I don't have anywhere else to
be, honestly. So why not? Oh, and my name is Naomi Beech." Was
it alright to follow a stranger to somewhere she never been
before? For all she knew he could be a r.pist looking for timid
and shy girls who just wanted to have fun.

Naomi followed quickly, slowly settling in the other chair.
"Thank you. I like your name as well." She added, reaching in
her pocket to see how much money she had. Maybe she could get
herself a drink?
