Victorycry stepped onto one of the leader's rocks. He knew he
wasn't supposed to, but what the hell? He called out to
DevilClan. "DevilClan, I have some news to announce! My
apprentice, Tigerpaw, will be promoted to a full medic. He may
choose his name. But, this promotion also has some costs. Due to
recent tragedies in between my family, I have decided I will
step down from being Medicine Cat. Thank you." He gave a dip of
his head and stepped down off the leader's stone.

just vic stepping down]

Tigerpaw stared at his mentor. What? What? I don't- what? He
just blinked. This was sudden. He wasn't really sure what to
think about this.

Victorycry padded towards Tigerpaw, gave a dip of his head and
mewed, "congratulations, Tiger." Vic lumbered over to a warm
spot that blew warm drafts to himself and curled up.

Deathpaw had faintly heard the news as she tried to sleep. But
who could sleep with the ruckus around her? She opened her eyes
and stood up, stretching before going up to Tigerpaw, attempting
to give his side a nudge. "Congrats, Tiger!" She squeaked
tiredly.

"Uh..." He glanced down at his paws. He'd never really thought
about it before. He just always assumed Vic was going to give it
to him. Obviously that wasn't happening. "I don't know. Want to

Deathpaw blinked a few times before giving a slow nod. "I can
help... a bit.." she murmured. The black female knew she wasn't
good at names. She named one of her daughters Root Beer, for
StarClan's sake! "Well, usually cats are named after a
personalitiy trait or physical trait."
