lets sing a gay little spring song (OPEN)

Babe (Bambipaw) was wandering around the city. He was a young
boy, about the age of twelve, and quite handsome. He had messy
brown hair that he would have to flick out of his eyes every few
moments. And with those few moments showed his large brown eyes,
filled with curiousity. Though, other than those few features,
and the freckles that dotted the bridge of his nose and tops of
his cheeks, he was a bit pale. Not unhealthy pale, but just
paler than the normal person should be. But that's what you
would get from a city boy, huh? He didn't have to work outside,
or even go to school if he wanted to. Online classes.
The young boy stopped when he finally came to the edge of the
block he was walking on, standing in front of a pound. Eh, why
not? Stepping inside, he could already tell that it was
inhabited by many rodents and dogs. But he enjoyed that smell
much more than the passing garbage truck. Babe walked around,
slowly, before being directed to the dogs by the store's
manager. He gave nod of thanks and acted interested. But dogs
weren't his forte - they were to roudy and loud. After a few
moments there, Babe continued exploring.
And that's when he came upon a rabbits cage. It was a little
island in the middle of the room, with some walls to keep the
pets from leaving. The top was open so you could reach in and
pet or hold one, making it easy for him to observe them. The
twelve year old boy popped his hand out of his pocket and
dropped it in the cage, scaring most of the bunnies and gerbils.
He frowned and stayed still. Finally, a brave rabbit hopped over
and sniffed his hand, then thumped his foot against the ground
of the cage. "Heh, you're like the rabbit from the movie..." he
cooed, picking up the little guy.
He wanted it. He wanted to keep it because there was a chance
that the little guy wouldn't live because of kill shelters. But,
he had no money. Babe held the rabbit close and decided. He
would steal the little guy. It wasn't like he was going to be
missed - bunnies multiplied like no tomorrow anyways. He looked
around and slipped the rabbit into his jacket before zipping it
up. Was he going to get away with this? He didn't know.
Continuing to look around, like nothing happened, Babe smiled.
Finally he left with a farewell, untouched by anyone.
Now Babe stood in front of his apartment building with his
little Thumper, chuckling as he ate a carrot.

Grace stepped into the store, needing to buy some food for
Mable. She went quickly and quietly to dog food and picked out
the usual small bag of food for their small dog. She looked over
at the cashier and paid for the dog food, before turning to
leave. But, Grace just wanted to look. The young woman looked
back at Babe and tipped her head. He was mighty interested in
those rabbits. But it looked like he couldn't get it. Rabbits
were cheap enough, considering there were so many of them.
But... he had no money?
