hungrily. He made a mental note to go back there alone and gorge
himself on mice.

Wendy soon made it to a tiny clearing, where mice scurried
around. "Here we are." She said plainly.

Wendy ambushed the mice, and soon came back with tow dangling
from her jaws.

Foxglove found it easy to track the creatures down-- they were
everywhere! The black tom caught a couple and returned to Wendy.

padded over to a bush to eat them.

He took his own route, settling near a pile of hay, and started
to chom on his catch hungrily. Gosh, this was the best he'd
eaten in a while! He owed this girl some gratitude, and tossed
his second mouse to her as a way of saying thanks. He'd catch
another for himself later.

Wendy slowly approached the mouse that was tossed over to her.
She looked up at Fox and smiled brightly in thanks, then picked
the piece of prey and walked back to her spot.
