You wear designer shades just to H I D E your F A C E [open]

Deliriadreams padded around unhappily. She was getting very
bored lately, even with Saltkit and Seakit to keep an eye on.
Those two were sweet kids. She didn’t really think of them as
her children, more like her friends. Some very close, adorable
friends that happened to call her mother. She sighed and sat
down, watching Saltkit scurry past her, chasing after a fish
scale that flew in the wind. The deputy watched him play with
her eyes- one electric green, one a soft violet- and flicked her
silver tail. The blue cat walked up to the nearby shade of a
tree and sat down, resting her head on its trunk. She frowned as
she felt something trickle past her head. Sap. Deli frowned and
shook her head, pulling her noggin away from the tree’s trunk
before any of the sticky residue got to her.
Deliria then noticed something weird. She focused more on the
tree and jumped up the bark, shimmying to the top. The sap came
from here, there was a little hollow area in the tree. She
glanced the area quickly, and saw something of interest. She
tentatively used her paw to pull the item towards her, and
gasped. A SCORPION?! She let go and fell to the ground, landing
on her feet. Well, three of them. One of them twisted slightly,
and she winced, but she bore the pain, noticing that the
scorpion hadn’t moved. It was worth another chance. The silver
she-cat clambered back up the tree, favoring the paw that had
twisted, and pulled back at the scorpion. It was covered in
something very similar to the sap. She sniffed it and tipped her
head. It was redder in color, and seemed to hold the scorpion in
place, kind of like see through glue. What she had found was
amber. Deli had thought it was very pretty, and grabbed it with
her maw gently, climbing back down. She pranced over to a
stream, setting the scorpion incased in amber carefully on the
ground, ripping a thin reed from its roots. She made a small
enough hole at the top of the amber to fit into and gave a grin,
making the reed thinner into a small, tight, strong string,
slipping it through the amber hole with her teeth. She slipped
her makeshift necklace on and purred, strutting back to camp,
puffing herself out, wanting to show off her new accessory. Her
blue bow, that Strangledfox had given her a while ago was still
worn neatly at her head, and she loved her new items. They were
perfect.
Saltkit jumped up to his mom and brightened his eyes, looking at
the amber. ”Mama, what’s that?” he asked curiously, and she
answered, ”I don’t really know, but it’s pretty. I like it.”
Saltkit smiled. ”When I find something, I’ll keep it and make it
just like yours.” Deliria purred, nuzzled his head and went back
to the tree to sit back in its shade. This tree was very nice,
she had doubted its capabilities.

Deli turned towards Streamflow and smiled, waving her tail as a
greeting. "Streamy! Come over here, come look at my new
necklace."

Strangledfox padded over to the slowly growing group, a smile
easily spreading across his maw after catching sight of the
pretty ember resting proudly on his mate's chest. "That's quite
an accessory you've got there. Where'd you find it?" he inquired
curiously as he sat himself down beside Deliriadreams, looking
intently at the gem.
It wasn't long for Seakit to find her parents, although she
stayed a distance away until her father invited her over with a
flick of his fluffy orange tail. A small grin danced on her face
immediately and she dashed over, making herself at home by
cuddling in between the couple.

Deliriadreams purred at Streamflow's praise, and switched her
attention to Strangledfox. "I found it in a tree, up there." She
gestured with her nose and licked her mate's cheek, greeting
Seakit with a 'hey, sweetheart', and nuzzling her kit.

"Interesting," he grinned, returning her gentle lick with a
nuzzle on her cheek. As he pulled back, his ember gaze subtly
studied the rest of her. She had changed a lot since she was an
apprentice. Her springy and energetic body calmed down a great
deal and she grew long, graceful legs. She was still very
active, of course, but more mature in a way. The sapphire bow
resting prettily on her head caused joyful memories to flood
into his mind. The ball, he remembered, was quite grand, but he
honestly thought asking her out to the dance was more of an
important moment to him. Don't get me wrong, he treasured every
moment with his mate, but it was part of the amazing experience
of drawing closer to her in a relationship more than friendship.
Seakit slowly began to purr, louder with every moment of
snuggling closer to her mother. Her pretty blue gaze was covered
contentedly by thin eyelids while the kitten rested happily next
to the RainClan deputy. Like a normal kit, she clung to her
parents for guidance and comfort. She wanted the commitment like
any normal father and mother. And yes, Strangledfox tried to
pour his heart out into his precious offspring, Deliriadreams
was a bit different when it came to a relationship with her own
kits. She seemed to be missing the motherly nature, not
physically because she did care for them very well, but
emotionally. She loves them to death, but like very close
friends she'd do anything for. Seakit didn't really realize this
yet, of course.

Deli purred and looked over at Strangledfox, giving a small
chuckle, "wh-what?" Did she look okay? Was there a bug climbing
on her? Of course she didn't focus on herself, mostly. But she
felt very self concious around her mate. Did she look okay? Ws
her fur smooth? Was she too snappy? A million questions ran
through her mind. Once and a while, she'd reflect on how her
mate grew as well. He grew more muscle, he became bolder- around
her, he was a real gentleman, and she loved him for it- he had
gotten taller then she! Strangled always focused on when he was
little if he was too girly looking. Of course he wasn't. Deli
loved him for now and forever and would NEVER think that he was
girly looking. He was perfect.
Deliria looked down at her kit. One out of two. She loved her
kits, too, but these kits were more like close companions.
Motherly love? That would take some time. If they were being hit
on by someone, she would kick their lovers ass and scold them
and be then the overprotective mother that she probably
should've been. But the deputy thought that wouldn't happen for
a while yet. Deli gave a grin and picked up Seakit by her
scruff, setting her gently into her front paws and cleaning the
kit gently.
