AhERM
Four score and seven years ago- nope, not that long ago. Hmm.
Well, around two years ago, I found a site called WCRPG. I had
been looking for the updates on a game that there was
speculation about coming out, and I can tell you some things
about forums in general.
Even if they're not roleplay, a forum is still a good way to
have fun. Think about your future- if you're thinking about
becoming anything related to movies, books, videogames- you're
better off being a roleplayer than not. It promotes creativity
and literary skills, not to mention imagination.
I have significantly improved as a writer since I began
role-playing. Just make sure that you follow the rules of the
forum you join and just generally try to be nice! Don't worry,
there's no way that a popular forum can track you down as long
as you don't give out personal information. ^^
The friends I have made through role-playing are.. They're true
blue friends, and they support me or tell me if they have a
question. :3

You can talk about how role-playing can be an escape for many
people who need that escape from life. You can also talk about
how role-play expands one's imagination and improves their
writing ability. It also give people a community where they feel
accepted, even if it's not face to face, which can actually be
better because that burier of social differences and first
impressions created by appearance and age isn't there. Role play
is for anyone and everyone. Don't forget to argue a bit with
yourself about the negative sides of role-play, because there
definitely are some. This shows that you do know that not
everything in roleplay is flowers and sun shine but the pros
greatly out way the cons. Roleplay creates a friendly
environment with people who already share similar interests
where the only thing that's really important is your actions
towards overs. Not even writing really matters because as you
role-play you will improve and get better. Even those people who
type text will improve.
