Maybe she didn't want to know. The medic didn't like the sound
of it. She patted him on the back with a paw. "I never really
had parents, so I don't know what that feels like. But I bet it
was sad. I'm sorry."

He sighed, looking at the ground. "I also feel bad. I made her
promises me something and I promises her something. When she
died, she told me to keep my side of the promises but I have no
idea what she means." That last bit was a lie. Eppy laid down,
laying on his side. "It is sad," he murmured, looking at the
ground. "I think I should tell you something though, so you
don't try to waste herbs on me to figure out why I never sleep."

He replied, "I have insomnia. That's why it takes me so long to
fall asleep and then only sleep for a few hours at a time."
Emptypromises nudged her. "I was embarrassed about it when I was
younger. That was part of the secret I told Flamingsparks."

She giggled. "That's not embarrassing! I'm like that too, just a
little bit though. It's hard to fall asleep."

K.R. wandered into the camp from who knows where. Yes she was
still around. She liked it well enough here and no one had
whined when she started carrying her own weight by bringing in
prey for herself and others in the clan. She was slowly leaving
the camp for longer and longer amounts of time, disappearing
back into the shadows from which she came. She was in a fairly
good mood so she called out to the two cats as she walked by.
"What's up chicken butts?"
