The tom smiled slightly. "Course I'm weird. I have been since I
met you, haven't I?" He recalled when they met by the river, how
he acted all rude and stuck up before pushing her in the river.
Then she called him mean, he got angry and yelled at her and
left. How stupid that seemed now, running off like that.
Emptypromises gently shoved her in return. "But we're still
close friends, and you're just as weird," teased the tabby.

Deli purred at their lighthearted joking, then abrubtly stopped,
giving a small growl. "So, what's up with you and Pheo? Still
going?" She hadn't really seen them together, lately.
Saltkit looked up at his mother, and flattened his ears, trying
to jump back into the water. His mother placed a gentle paw on
his head and turned him back towards her. "You're not going that
way, mister," the deputy mewed, pulling him on the far side of
the river.

He nodded. "Yeah. We haven't had as much free time to spend
together, though, and I've felt bad that I didn't talk to you
guys that much for a while because I always spent my time with
just her."

He looked over at Streamflow and then back to Deli, hoping one
of them would change the subject. Eppy knew it would make the
she-cat uncomfortable since she liked him.

Deli hmmd, nodding and shrugging. She looked at Saltkit, who was
padding up to Streamflow, plopping his small self on her paws,
trying to warm himself. Deliria's paws were wet, and cold at the
moment, so it was only natural for the kit. She perked up and
glanced at the two. "Do you have any plans for the next moon?
Just wondering, for no reason."
