Snug As A Bug In A Rug

Gunshot lay under a short sapling, head on his paws. The sky
wasn't near to his favorite shade of blue- the deep sapphire
found toward dusk, before the sky started to darken. It was
paler, as normal so early in the day. The ground underpaw felt
hard, uncomfortably hard. At least it was peaceful. No loud
noises, causing him to dart his head around, trying to notice
everything all at once. Shot from Hunter's Gun had been growing
increasingly nervous these days, ever since he had gone blind in
one yellow eyes.
He flicked his tail softly, sending the long rust colored thing
arcing through the air. It was too peaceful. Although Gunshot
liked the quite, he had trouble enduring it for long periods of
time. You're a contradiction in words, the though send a wry
smile across his face. Still, I wish something would happen. I
feel like nothing more then a lazy ball of fur these days.

[size=8pt]"Oh, hey Gunshot~!" Breaking Dishes All Night purred
to one of her newest patients, placing one of her black paws on
top of the other. "How're you?"

"Hey," muttered Gunshot. And then there's talking. You have to
keep with the rules of politeness, which is generally easy.
Unless you can't keep the comments inside. He turned his head to
the Egyptian mau glad he never had much trouble with that.
"Good." Then you have the answers that are used so often they
don't mean anything. "How're ya?"

Cracks in a [Spotted Path] had the same idea. "Hello!" the
tortoiseshell called, padding over.

Gunshot practically jumped, twisting his head around. After
spotting his tribemates, he breathed a small sigh of relief. If
he knew their voices then why did he feel so jumpy? When he had
asked for some company, Gunshot hadn't been expecting this much.
Best not to ask stuff of yourself, then. "H..hey," he replied,
giving a small dip of his head in greeting.
