But thats the thing. You never see stuff how it is. You see
stuff how you think it is. Beclaws you're human. What you see is
different than what I see. That's not what bothers me. What
bothers me is that you said it was a bad book. I can completely
understand the boredom thing. I used to have that problem. But I
don't believe in bad books. There are no bad books. Only bad
       authors.

Okay. Bad... Author. But what if an author made an exceptionally
good book, and then writes a 'bad' one.

Define bad. Because every word of that bad book may have been
intended. And on a seperately related note, who says your
definition of bad is the right definition of bad?

       *shrug*
I think my definition of bad would be: boring, and not much plot
And *shrug* again. I guess all definitions of bad can be right,
       right?

Who says boring is bad? The three Musketeers has been turned
into action movies a thousand times over and it is an incredibly
slow book to read. The Great Gatsby has a fantastic plot! But
people whined for days because of how 'boring' it was when we
had to read it. I personally like both.

       because we don't have patience.
that's what drives my friends from reading homestuck
they read a few pages and go "when is something gonna happen?"
i had faith in it that it would get better, but with the boring
stuff they give us to read at school I never have any hope
       things will get better.
and I'm a negative person so even when something does happen i
       ignore it :3
also, the questions. and the tests. who wants to read stuff like
       that?

       /fights urge to raise hand
The trick is not to read it. The trick is to enjoy it. To let
the words wrap you up and whisk you away into another life,
another world. So you can sit back and watch that world unfold
in front of you. So you can explore something that you've never
seen before. So you can get to know new people that you will
never meet but can visit any time you want. So you can live a
thousand lives before you've finished one. And once you've done
that, once you've seen and listened and dream, then you step
back and look at what has been given to you.
