i'm one card short of a full deck [[open!]]

It was bound to happen eventually. Deliriadreams had known that.
Streamflow hadn't believed that. He had pretended he didn't know
that, but the truth was he knew. The only reason he had
pretended he didn't was to keep Deliriadreams from getting upset
or scared. But it had happened finally, and he was trying to
control himself, which is hard when you're not truly in control
of your own mind. So what exactly had happened? Emptypromises
had finally gone crazy.
He had run into Lionpaw, and she started talking to him, which
soon progressed to yelling. She had been insulting him the whole
time, and he had tried not to attack her, which, surprisingly,
he was able to do. Eppy had known he was going crazy, and it was
obvious too. The tom had even blamed Phoenixpaw for something,
which everyone knew he would never do. So he had yelled at the
apprentice to get away from him. That was all he could remember.
Emptypromises, at the moment, was far from camp. After arguing
with Lionpaw, he had curled up on the ground, dug his claws into
the ground, and closed his eyes so he didn't hurt anybody. He
was trying to fight it but by now he had mostly given up. The
brown tabby shivered, blinking rapidly and digging his claws
deeper into the dirt. Now he wasn't thinking of anything good
that had happened to him. All that ran through his mind were bad
memories. For example, the things he were remembering now were
from when he was young.
First he remembered dying once from before, and then remembered
finding the newborn body and pushing out the cat inside. Eppy
then remembered how his siblings died while he was still just
two weeks old. Then how his parents died from rogues when he had
just started eating meat. Emptypromises then thought about how
he grew up alone until he met Deliriadreams, who chose
Strangledfox instead of him. Then how he fought with Sibuna so
many times, but in his mind it was distorted into him thinking
that Sibuna was Phoenixpaw. Then how Lionpaw hated him, and how
Streamflow and Storypaw liked him and he broke their hearts.
The tom held in a scream. The memories were killing him, and he
wanted it to stop. He couldn't deal with it. Breathing heavily,
the tabby got to his paws, trembling as he walked over to a tree
and leaned against it, trying to keep from falling over and at
the same time trying not to head back to camp, because he was
sure he would hurt someone. Emptypromises hissed, biting his lip
and flattening his ears. His tail lashed, and he scratched at
the ground. He began trembling again.

Streamflow noticed the tom from a ways away, but decided to
avoid him for now. It just felt awkward talking to him now. But
she was concerned about him. What was that weird thing he was
doing? She decided to halt her herb collecting and watch to make
sure he'd be okay. Poor thing.

Emptypromises spotted her and hissed, digging his claws farther
into the ground, ears perking and then flattening again. He
shook his head, hoping she'd see and run away. Suddenly he
stopped moving, then retracted his claws, and turned straight to
her, growling.

She flattened her ears and whimpered. Was he angry at her? What
for? The medic took a pace back.

Deliriadreams looked over at Streamflow and Empty And walked
over. "Eppy? Why the heck are you so snappy?" She stood in front
of the medicine cat and flattened her ears, lashing her tail and
growling back.

Emptypromises didn't say anything. He looked from Deli to
Stream, and then hissed again and lashed out at the closer one,
Deliriadreams. He then lunged at her, growling, tail lashing.

Owlfeather saw what was going on from a few bushes away and
immediately sped towards them. She arrived just in time to see
Empty take a swipe at Deli. "GET BACK NOW!" She yowled, using
her voice reserved for the rare moments like this. "GET AWAY
FROM HIM RIGHT NOW!"

Btw, where are you guys getting your Avvies?]
Deliriadreams shrieked and hissed, side stepping slightly and
raising her hackles. "Emptypromises, knock it off!" She backed
up to be side by side to her adopted big sister. She rarely
heard her voice get that loud.

Stream just stayed quiet. That wasn't him. That wasn't the Eppy
she loved. She gulped back scared tears and continued watching
the scene.
