Goldenpaw padded into camp, her heart aching. It was time. She
had always loved Sandy, ever since they had met at the ball. But
she never really admitted it, only acted like a friend to him.
But that changed now. She had to tell him, it was too hard for
her to keep it a secret any longer. "S-Sandy?"

Sandy was sitting, ok dozing, in one corner of the camp. The
golden tom jerked awake when he heard his name. Getting to his
paws, he walked over to greet Goldenpaw, his usual lazy smile on
his face.

He stared at her, looking thoroughly confused but nodded all the
same. What was going on? Why was she so nervous?

It took a second for the words to sink in. It just didn't click
in his head. He must have looked really stupid, just standing
there, staring at her. At last he nodded. Still hadn't totally
sunken it yet. But it would. Eventually.
