Phoenixpaw laid in her nest, fiddling with the little pieces of
moss that fell off. It was a slow day to her, honestly. She
couldn't treat any cat because all the other medics beat her to
it, not that it was a race. And Glitterglue was to busy tending
to her own pregnancy to worry about her apprentice's training.

She hadn't really talked to her friend lately, and she wanted to
go and see her. The last time they had had a real conversation
was when Phoenixpaw was still Phoenixkit and the two trained
with each other to be promoted once again. The pregnant medic
apprentice walked over to the ginger she-cat and said, "Hey
Pheo."

Pheo looked up at the pregnant apprentice, smiling. "Styggy~"
she purred, standing up in her nest and curling her tail around

feel like that, doesn't it?" she purred, curling her tail around
her paws.

She replied, "At least I didn't do it on purpose. I didn't know
until about a week ago." Stygianpaw then listened to her
continue. "And I can see why you'd be worried. I wish that
everything could just go back to how it used to be when
everything was simpler."

subject. "So how much has your swimming improved?" asked the
she-cat, remembering that Pheo liked to swim.
