Henry walked over slowly, reaching down. Instead of picking up
his son, he reached out and tried to pet the puppy.

"What the heck." No one listens to her she grumped. But, she let
it go and dropped Melissa, who staggered over to the puppy and
putting her hand on its head.
Grace gently pet it as well, looking at Danny. "Are you okay,
Dann?"

Danny looked at how everyone was petting the puppy, and stroked
his hand across its head. "Mama, what this?" he asked.
Henry wrapped his arm around his daughter. [b]"Its a cute little
puppy, Grace. I wonder if it belongs to anyone."

She stiffened for a moment before relaxing. Rolling onto her
back, she licked the hand closest to her mouth, which was
Melissa's. The puppy didn't understand them, but they didn't
sound mean.

Putting her paws on Melissa's shoulders, she whined happily,
licking her chin and then dropping down, rolling onto her back.

Henry looked up at his wife. "Can we keep it?" he asked,
pouting. Yep. Henry was a kid at times.
