She rolled her blue eyes and gave her friend a playful shove.
"Yea, well. I can be surprising."

"I like the writing part, but I hate the reading." She was good
at reading and writing, but she didn't really like WORK. And her
brain WOULD NOT cooperate with math. Nuh uh. Never.

Crayola, of course, gave a shove of her own in response. Of
course, she first got up. "Now, now. Surprises are saved for
       parties, you bad little girl."

"Stop calling me that." Lil grumbled, but a small smile played
on her lips, getting up on lanky legs.

"Sorry. Munchkin works?" It was a bit of a ridiculous nickname.
At about 5'5'', Crayola was shorter then Lil, so it should have
been her with the name munchkin. That, of course, was what made
       it all the better.

A sigh. "Are we going or nooooot, Munchkin?"

"Now, now." Crayola shook a finger. "You're the munchkin in this
friendship. Going where?" Her chocolate eyes met Lil's
       curiously.

A faint grin appearing on her face, which was actually pretty
rare for the dark mammal, Crayola shrugged. "OK. You chose.
       Hurry, please."

Lil stretched. "How about that arcade around the corner, Dave &
Buster's? It's got good food and fun games." It was the only
       thing she could think of.
