okay, so in the movie 'Rise of the Guardians' everyone died to
become a guardian, technically. It was hinted that way since
Jack risked his own life for his sister, and ended up drowning
anyways. So, I was wondering, how could have Bunnymund became
the easter bunny? Its not like he twitches his nose twice and
everyone knows Timmy is stuck in a well :p
also,
how could I attempt to recreate that scene for kitty-bunnymund
to die and return?

Bunnymund (E. Aster Bunnymund) was a pooka and used to live
under the earth with thousands of other pookas. However, they
were wiped out leaving only Bunny.
Based off of that, I would have him attacked by some sort of
animal. Similar but not quiet.

Alright. Easter is new hope. So Bunny should reflect that. While
out on a patrol, he and the others are attacked by a badger or
dog or whatever. At the beginning of the fight, Bunnymund get's
knocked out so he's not in the fight nor does he know what
happened. When he wakes up, there's blood everywhere but no
bodies. Cat, badger, or otherwise. Anyone else would say that
their clan mates were dead. Bunny doesn't. When he reports this,
he asks to look for his clan mates, even though they are dead.
He's convinced that they are alive. If there aren't any bodies,
they have to be. After weeks, once everyone else gives up, Bunny
and the others get into an argument. He needs to give this up.
He's been driving himself insane. Ect. Angry, Bunny runs off,
promising not to come back without them, just to prove everyone
wrong. In his frustration, he crosses the boarder and comes
across a cave just outside the scent line. This is where the
animal that attacked them lives. And where it brought the dead
bodies of his clan mates. Most are decomposed and half eaten but
he still knows who they are. While taking everything in, the
animal returns and attacks him. Driven by a sense of
responsibility, he attacks the animal rather than run away for
help. Bunny ultimately wins since the animal had rabies from the
beginning and was too far gone, but suffers too many wounds. He
tries to make it back to camp, to explain what happened, but
ends up dying in a splotch of his own red snow. When he wakes up
a few days later, he's still very hopeful at his center, but now
has that to remind him that doubt is needed as well as hope.
This makes him skeptical of a lot of things and a bit skittish
afterwards.
