By all means 'disagree' with my post, but without explaining
why, it's a bit of a cop out.
Don't be fooled by the sob stories the mainstream media have
been fed here. This has been going on at that club for over 20
years and their fans have been warned time and time again.

Yes, fair point, although in a parallel with Bury, they built a
squad they couldn't afford in winning promotion from League Two
in 2008. It caught up with them eventually.

No cop out at all! You made a statement, “Only vanity made them
think otherwise”. This was presented as fact when in reality I
suspect it is opinion, which cannot be supported by evidence. It
would be interesting to know who are those you describe as them
I also have no doubt if Rochdale, or any other Football League
club, found themselves in a similar position to Bury, their
supporters, officials and anyone else connected with the club or
town would do everything they could think of to try and overturn
the decision.

I’m talking about things that happened before this week and
before this season.
Like I said, that club has spent beyond its means for years.
They have previously been in administration. A large proportion
of their fans have lauded it on forums of other clubs (not just
my own) about how they were “bathing in gold”, “enjoying the
ride” and “wow, wow, wowing” their way to promotion, while at
the same time failing to pay hundreds of businesses for their
services and other clubs for ticket sales.
That is fact, as per the documentation freely available online
and in various media.
‘Them’ are those fans who think their club had some form of
right or entitlement to League 2 football next season alongside
clubs who continue to cut their cloth accordingly even though it
brings them limited or no success.
Yes, I’m sure there are some humble and embarrassed bury fans
out there, but as said, most of them were happy to go along with
it all until recently, while at the same time choosing to shout
down any dissenting voices from their Gigg Lane colleagues.
It’s a situation they might have avoided if they had just
listened.
