O LANGFORD - Luton v Middlesbrough

One big error from Langford in giving a penalty when the
Middlesbrough player was fouled outside the box, luckily
Assombalonga blazed over.
The other incident where it was a clear penalty for Luton missed
I have to say the linesman on the far side hasn't helped matters
in not spotting the foul and not helping out Langford who
appeared to have a blocked view.
A new season, the same dross from SG2 begins in earnest.

Was hoping to get down to oakwelk tomorrow to see if Jarred
Gillet would be any better than all the other dross, think I’ll
give it a miss now Andy Davies is reffing. As for Langford utter
rubbish as per usual from him how he gets the big games quite
often I’ll never know. ???

Re the penalty. From what I can tell from the tv the defender
never leaves the area so how can it have been outside the box.

I wouldnt criticise the ref re the Boro penalty its a tight call
and live it looked inside, even on the replay Im not totally
convinced it wasnt inside.
The other penalty, totally down to the assistant, unless of
course the ref told him pre game not to get involved, which
surely doesn't happen. :o :o
Overall I though he had a good game, and let what was a very
good watch as a match to flow

Thought Mr Langford had a good game. Tried to let the game flow
and let the players decide the outcome of the game.
Boro penalty definitely a pen (Through red tinted glasses).

Having watched the game again today I was probably a bit too
harsh on Oli Langford he got the penalty for Boro bang on but
Luton should have had one as well but that was probably down to
the AR. What troubles me about Langford is his inconsistency in
games and his foul detection is usually poor. Almost every time
I have seen him either on tv or live at Elland Road he has been
usually rubbish.
