Isn't Adam Herczeg based in the North East ?
i have seen his appointments over the past year on RTR but my
main recollection is him as 4O at a Sunderland pre season
friendly at South Shields fifteen months ago in what was Geoff
Eltringham's last ever game before retirement.

He is - 4O (Fri night at Bristol City), Referee (Sat afternoon
at Chelsea Reserve) and 4O (on Sun afternoon at AFC
Bournemouth).
Let's hope there is no injury to both Referees on Fri and Sun.

I wouldn’t call it a short straw - anyone in the group would be
happy getting Millwall vs West Ham. He will be as excited as all
football fans.

Slightly surprised by Simon Hooper's 4O appointment at AFCB,
given his lack of relevant match practice. But MIchael Oliver is
normally reliable so far as fitness goes, so probably not a
particular problem. Good luck to Adam Herczeg, and I'm hoping he
will bring good luck to the Palace during his debut on the PL,
we need it.

Hooper has Chelsea u21 v Fulham u21 as a starter for ten on the
Saturday.
