That’s a definite penalty from the foul on Szoboszlai by Davis…
       If he’s onside!
I’m very surprised VAR marched England over to the monitor so
quickly and didn’t check the offside before sending him to the
       screen for a review.

Sending him to the monitor before checking the offside is rather
       odd

What a mess at Portman Road by Nick Hopton operating as
VAR…offside should be checked first to prevent the match
unnecessarily being held up so no need to check potential
       penalty kick.

There was an in the first half just before half time that was
interesting as well, Gakpo played a pass then a player slide in
       and caught him late

Looks like West, England and Hopton (Beswick AVAR) all made
       mistakes....

Did anyone see the (somewhat) interesting situation in Ipswich -
       Liverpool?
Darren England made on field decision of play on, then was
called to screen for OFR potential penalty. However, as he got
to the screen, the VAR (Hopton) realised attacker was offside in
build up, so potential penalty was actually irrelevant. England
       then did an announcement.
Not something I’ve seen before, standard procedure is just to
give the offside and no announcement, no? Seems the VAR was
slightly slow checking the APP as he could’ve avoided the OFR.
Once at the screen I suppose England had to make some sort of
       announcement.
Not a huge error or anything, and ultimately the decision was
perfectly correct, just the announcement felt quite pointless
       and it wasted time.

According to Dale Johnson on X VAR's are told to check for
offsides after sending the referee to the monitor so Hopton
       actually did the right thing...

We’ve seen on the mic’d up show referees get sent over to the
monitor prior to the APP being checked, just normally there is
no offside before, so I think Hopton has followed the correct
       procedure
