Dreadful game to watch…
Salisbury had been ok, a tad inconsistent with some decisions
but got the Andersen booking spot on..

Very underwhelming second half from Salisbury.
Ballard with a clear foul on Garcia and Sunderland get the free
kick, plus blew up way too early and stopped a promising
Sunderland break.
Then a free kick given to Fulham for a nothing challenge on
Bassey, and Castagne very lucky not to be carded for persistent
fouling.
He has since been hooked.

A poor day at the office for Salisbury, was so inconsistent with
what was a foul and what wasn’t.
A few other baffling decisions and it was a bit of a lottery in
the end as to what was going to be given or not.
I’m sure our fellow esteemed Sunderland correspondents would
have had an opinion or two on today’s offerings…

It wasn't the greatest match especially as the two teams
cancelled each other out in the first half. We picked up the
pace a bit once the subs were made and managed to pick up three
points from the only team who did the double over us last
season. As far as the referees performance is concerned we've
seen a lot worse and he probably reflected the quality of the
match.

I concur with this. Salisbury was mediocre, Sunderland were
poor, and Fulham stunk the place out. Let’s just pretend it
never happened 😉
