Roy Boyles (1931-2026)

Roy Geoffrey BOYLES
Died peacefully at home, aged 95, on 9th June 2026 with his
wife, Maureen, at his side.
A former football league referee & linesman in the 1960s & 70s,
Roy lived for many years in Etwall, Derbyshire before relocating
with Maureen to Ruddington Notts.
Roy, together with first wife Daphne who died in 2022, were well
known in the Derby area for establishing & distributing
Tupperware in the region when it first came to the UK in the
1960s.
In retirement Roy was a prodigious fundraiser for the British
Heart Foundation.
He also maintained & fostered contacts & associations from his
earlier Military Service in the Intelligence Corp.
Roy was deeply loved and will be missed by all his family both
here in the UK and Australia.

A name from the past.I remember RG Boyles on the line regularly
in South and West Yorkshire.Always from Etwall,an unusual
name,rather than Derby.Tallish,I think,with receding hair.My
condolences to his family.
