Happy with Pawson at Old Trafford. Ipswich's management will be
getting well acquainted with Andy Madley - that’s 2 consecutive
4O for him on Ipswich games this season.
Good games for Gillett, Bankes and Oliver.
Nice to see Harrington back in the PL and Josh Smith with a PL
game for the first time in a while.

Can't remember seeing Kitchen as the main VAR before, good to
see J Smith back in the PL. Also the fact that Robinson was FO
in the Championship on the weekend isn't a great sign that he'll
get many PL games this year despite being in SG1 last year.

Week 2….two successive 4th official appointments with the same
team (Ipswich)shows that there may well be a new name (RefPro)
but it’s the same poor appointing. It cannot be that difficult
to ensure different match officials!

Excuse the bluntness of the question… but does it matter? By all
accounts, Ipswich Sunderland was a well officiated game without
controversy - if there were any incidents or flashpoints,
especially involving Madley, i’m sure he wouldn’t have been
appointed again. Feels like this really isn’t worth worrying
about to me.

Hull and Coventry played each other last season. It makes good
sense to appoint a referee from the new combined Group who may
well have had the fixture last season anyway now it is a PL
match
